Bottle. High white fluffy and lasting head. Clear amber body. Sweet and malty aroma with notes of berries, raspberries I guess. Somewhat dry and bitter roasted malt flavor with little carbonation and a long artertaste.

Jun 29, 2008 Mild head back to almost nil cover on a red/brown pour,carbonation good.Aroma nutty malt,it is a smokey mellow flavour,lovely hops and malt,first class they really come through.A bitter mellow then the nut caramel tastes.Finish good flavours,mild bitter,mellow.

Jun 24, 2008 Thanks for the beer Gestapo! - Snifter glass, poured a clear amber copper with a white head gone pretty fast. Malt pallet pleaser with some roasted spice in the body. A clear caramel blend with a slight bitter sweet dryness towards the end. A good drinker.

Jun 21, 2008 Pours a clear amber color (on the light side for something that says "dunkel" on the bottle) with a fluffy off-white fairly persistent head which eventually dwindles down to a paper-thin layer of foam with a ring around the edge. Light but lacy lacing is left on the glass. Nose of fresh baked whole wheat bread. Bread/malt taste with a rich, sweet roasted flavor and lacings of caramel and chocolate. Bitter/sweet, creamy finish. A tasty brew.

Jun 10, 2008 Bottle. Pours clear copper/orange with a nice creamy white head & lacings. Aroma is sweet of malts toffee/caramel. Solid full mouthfeel. Grassy malty taste with some roasted caramel notes. Very dry/grassy bitter end! Pleasant & enjoyable!

Pours clear dark golden with a nice, creamy, off-white head. Aroma is malty with some toffee. Fine mouthfeel. Flavour is malty sweet, lightly roasted, with quite a powerful hoppy dryness with grassy and flowery hops. Some weak chocolate in the finish. Nice enough.
