COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The light malt and the slight taste of hops give this beer its hearty, palatable taste.

Beautiful clear golden colour. Nice white head, which dosn’t last long. Aroma is hoppy. The flavour is not that complex, but as other raters have said before, lots of alcahol and hops. I like the bitterness and alcahol in the aftertaste.

I really liked these Einbecker beers 2 years ago, and now I cant stand them. Thickly toffeeish and cloying a la La Trappe Tripel, grassy hoppy finish, but a mess. But I guess Im not a bocky guy.

(Sampled bottle) I guess I expected too much of this one - so I were a bit disappointed. Low head, decent aroma. More hops than malts (sure, the malts are there too), bitter near tart. Strong alcohol presence. Competes easily with a good Scandinavian ’Gold’ beer, but not by much. I’m probably a ’Bocks are dark’-guy.

Floral hop aroma. Malty, Malty, Malty--with a capital M. Strong alcohol taste, but it doesn’t burn. Excellent light colored strong lager with a heavy body. Has a helles flavor, but really more of a typical bock. If you can get to the Harz Mountains, it actually tastes better there...cool bottle too.

Nice and well balanced. Hoppy and hay-ey aroma. Golden with a rocky head. Hoppy and buttery aroma. Medium long lasting bitter finish. Enjoyable

UPDATED: DEC 9, 2009 Bottle. Light phenolic sweet corn aroma. Full golden color and a nice white head. Medium to light body, slightly ticky mouthfeel. Starts on the sweet side, but is balanced to boredom. Quick finish fairly forgettable - what have they done to this beer?

Very enyoyable. Herby hop aroma, yellow in colour with little decent head, but doesn’t last long. Very nice flavour. Bitter, herbal, salty and decent body, i really dug it.

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2003 Sweet and malty aroma with tropical fruit. (mango, banana)Sweetish, malty and hopbitter taste with some fruitiness. Hopbitter finish. A very well made beer: one of the best pale bocks I know.Re-rate: malty and buttery with some cinnamon and tropical fruit. Some alcohol and hops. A bit sticky maybe, but has complexity.

clear golden colour, few head, malty, alcohol nose, sweetness is quickly followed by a strong bitterness, oily and heavy brew with a long dry alcohol finish - great exemple of the style

Slightly sulfury aroma, like a royal fart. Wonderful pale blond color. Good head, but not as much as I’d have liked. Carefully balanced and well-crafted. There is a surprising strong hop bitterness the reaches all areas of your mouth. The mouth feel is round and warm, but not too bold. Simple, straight ahead and oh-so good.
