Pours amber with a decent white head leavin lacing all along the inside of the glass. Malty aroma with bread and grass. Round malty flavor with a hint of syrup sweetness. Soft and chewy mouthfeel.

Bottle from Kardstadt, Dortmund. Pours a bland and pale gold color with a medium sized white head. Nose is grain, leather, and alcohol. First sip burns the palate like a shot of bad vodka on a good day. Follows with a faint amount of hops and slightly bitter grains. Alcohol really overpowers this beer, feeling as though it is a higher percentage. Poor balance makes it hard to get into this beer at first. After a few sips you are able to get through it, though I can’t see it tasting like this back in 1378. Still, does rock on the buzz and it’s definitely doable, however lacks substance.

Has a grass, hay aroma. Pours a light gold with a medium size head that quickly goes to lace. It does have a light hop and malt taste with oil. The finish is a oily light hop with alcohol. Medium body without a lot of character. This isn’t a bad or offensive beer. I didn’t care for the alcohol finish very much. I can’t recommend NOT buying this beer, but there are a lot of better ones on the shelf next to it.

330 ml bottle. Golden body with a big, creamy off-white head. Mild aroma of clean malt and some alcohol. Flavor is sweet malty, mild bitter, fruity and alcohol. Fine body, decent bitterness in finish, a bit sharp on the alcohol but quite pleasant.

Bottled. Pours out in a crystal clear pale golden colour with a low firm white foam. Hoppy aroma of wet grass and white pepper with solid undertones of bready and biscuity malts. Medium-bodied with initially sweet flavours of white bread, dough and mild alcohol. Rather oily mouthfeel. Drier finish with notes of grassy, herbal and peppery hops with touches of alcohol.

Gold blonde colour, minimal head. Aroma is pilsner like, maybe somewhat more herbal. Taste is more bitter, not sweet. Nice bitter finish.

Bäddar mjukt med en vadderad smakbild, varken offensiv eller defensiv. Rik i smaken och med en beska som binder ihop allt väldigt snyggt till en vacker bukett av under- och övertoner.

Flaske 0,33l delt med Rune på Elsas Skibotn 31 Okt 09. Lys gylden på farge. Kremaktig skum som legger seg etter en stund. Veldig svak på aroma. Søtlig maltsmak etterfulgt av en tørr bitterhet. Anonym. Egentlig en skuffelse.
