UPDATED: AUG 27, 2003 Pale golden, white head disappears slowly. Intense malt aroma, honey-like, flowery hop nose. Sweet honey flavour balanced by hop bitterness, noticeable alcohol burnt. Medium-light body. Easy to drink, but there are too alcohol and low freshness in taste.

0,33 liter bottle from Jumbo, Santiago Pours a clear golden color with a medium white frothy head that laces wonderfully to the sides of the glass. Just by the look I would guess it’s a premium pala lager. Aroma shows surprisingly more hops than malt in the beginning. Mostly Tettnanger, herbal notes with malty hints of grains and cereal. Taste, on the other hand is stronger and more intense, sweet but with a nice balance of herbal bitterness. Notes of pears, corn flakes, oatmeal and some honey. Unfortunately there is a subtle metallic presence throughout the aroma and taste. Medium body, alcohol is well disguised and finish a little astringent. This one feels like an Oktoberfest or a Märzen more than a Heller Bock. Good German lager. I guess the draught it’s much better.

Bottle courtesy of Ekstedt shared @ Ekstedts bock-tasting. Pours clear golden with a small white head that quickly dissipates while leaving lots of trace on the glass. Smell is sweet, malty and rather stale with old bread, over-ripe fruits and hints of caramel. Taste is sweet, metallic, tiny floral and stale with bread, honey and grass. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with rather high carbonation. Finish is sweet, slightly bitter, malty and metallic with some bread and caramel.

One for the Ides, green glass by 22.09.12. Grassy nose, softly malty. Very pale light golden with a frothy white head. Tastes very, very sweet, with strong honey over malt with floral notes, just enough hops to justify the name. Golden and bright, but boozy and heavy despite the very soft light-medium body.

Blond van kleur. Fris en fruitig aroma. Smaakt een beetje citrusachtig en lichtbitter. Goed te drinken maar niks bijzonders.

[ASPETTO] oro chiaro, limpida [SCHIUMA] bianca, media presenza, media compattezza, non molto durevole [OLFATTO] media intensità, classico profumo lager, con crosta di pane a cui si aggiunge un floreale che ricorda quasi il fieno. [GUSTO] media intensità, con sapori maltati, un dolce moderato che i mescola con una leggera sfurmatura alcolica; si aggiunge brevemente un accenno fruttato per poi virare verso note amare erbacee. Finale secco, deciso ma non molto persistente in cui ricompare per contrasto una reminiscenza del dolce inziale. [TEXTURE] corpo medio basso, carbonazione equilibrata, percezione alcolica sfuggente [COMMENTO FINALE] buona e classica lager tedesca, con una maltatura leggermente accentuata come da copione e invitanti profumi. In bocca è molto scorrevole, piacevole e fresca con un finale che disseta e stuzzica grazie ad una luppolatura decisa. Semplice, armonica. Non male.

Bem simples e razoável. Amarga, mas nada exagerado. Aparência nada relevante, não foge do padrão.
