Poured a reddish amber color. Clear. No haze or bottle sediment. No head to speak of. Very sweet malty cherry taste. Not enough carbonation to cut the sweetness. Overall it's a so so beer.

Dark red-brown colour. Aroma of dark malts but also some dried fruits. Flavour has a similar fruity edge adding some depth to a pleasant and full flavoured bock.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear brown with ruby tones. Two finger tan head which fades into a cap and leaves minimal lacing. Nose is dark fruit and malt with a whiff of yeast. Taste is malt and dark fruit, slightly sweet. Thin mouthfeel which finishes cleanly. Not bad at all.

Poured medium amber with a frothy off white head. Aroma of sweet, grainy malt, light nuts, floral hops. Medium body, moderately lively, flavour of caramel malt, dry berries, subtle plum, toffee. Dry, bitter sweet finish.

330 ml bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours fairly crystal clear ruby copper color with a 2 finger fairly dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Slight spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of raisin, plum, apple, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, toast, brown bread, herbal, floral, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of malt and fruity yeast ester notes; with good strength. Taste of raisin, plum, apple, caramel, toast, brown bread, brown sugar, toffee, herbal, floral, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of raisin, plum, apple, caramel, toast, brown bread, brown sugar, toffee, herbal, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice balance and complexity of malt and fruity/earthy yeast ester flavors; with solid robustness and no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth and fairly slick mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good doppelbock style. Good balance and complexity of malt and fruity yeast ester flavors; and very smooth to sip on. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Bottle 330 ml, into a snifter. ABV @ 7.5% Deep red colour with brown shades as far as the body is concerned. Clear, with low activity in it. Tall head, more than two fingers, tan in colour. Average retention, light lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel, dirty hay, light red fruits. Taste has lots of caramel, toffee, butter. Good but maybe too sweet and buttery. Medium thin to medium body, okay carbonation. Overall okay and drinkable, but nothing to write home about.

on tap @ im alten zolln. Schiuma beige finissima abbastanza persistente.ramato carico, limpida. aroma di miele floreale, mirto, luppolato erbaceo, fruttato di frutta secca (datteri e fichi). Piacevolmente complessa. Dolce amabile, poco amara solo lievemente acidula. Si ritrovano fichi secchi malto caramello miele ed in più un retrolfattivo di noce. Abbastanza calda, poco carbonata e mediamente corposa. Equilibrata ed armonica

33cl bottle. Live rate from the cafeteria at the summit of the Brocken (Harz) Germany. Amber/brown with an off White head. Cloyingly sweet with no noticeable hop flavours. Warming through it’s strength, thus redeeming it a little: as the temperature up here is close to -20ºC! Under the circumstances, I am rather enjoying this.

Brown colour with a medium formation of a light beige head with short duration. aroma has notes of toasted malts, dry fruits, nuts and almonds, some molasses. Flavor is light sweet at ht beginning, with a decent maltiness with toasted notes, caramel and some bready notes. The final is slightly sweet joined with caramel notes and with a lightly sweetness.
