From tap Am alten Zolln Lübeck. Pours clear and golden orange with a dense and off-white head. Malty and roasted aroma, quite mild. Flavour is roasted malt, caramel and with a slight alcohol presence. Mild bitterness and light metallic touch before the finish. Fullbodied and smooth finish.

Bottled (thanks omhper). Amber colour, mediumsized beige head. ASroma is caramel malts, some bready notes. Flavour is caramel malts, some sweet grains and also a wee bit of alcohol. Pleasant and wellbalanced. Rather nutty notes as it warms up.

UPDATED: NOV 15, 2010 Bottle, 7.5%. Clear dark brown colour. Very small frothy tan head. Good malty flavour, quite sweet. Dark brown sugar, some caramel. Good alcohol level to balance. Distinct bitterness also gives a good balance.

Clear amber with a medium beige head. Aroma was sweet with roasted malt, caramel and ripe fruits. Flavour was sweet with roasted malt, caramel and toffee notes. Finished sweet.
