Bottle. Color brown with small cream head. Aroma malt, roasted, caramel, sugar. Taste sweet, bitter, dry, roasted.

Black pour with a frothy white/off white head. Prominent sweet malt with light bitter finish. Nothing amazing but still very easy drinking/quaffable for such a dark beer.

Nicely coloured beer with very delicate aroma. Disapoints by too dark roastiness (overmalted) overshadowing the nice smell.

[ As my rating # 4900 of beers from Germany on ratebeer ]. Clear medium brown colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, brown sugar, dryed raisin. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and light moderate bitter with a average to long duration, dry, roasted, dark roasted. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. Bottle @ Ulfborg, Early Winter Tasting, 2011. Pours dark amber with a small creamy head and lacings. Nose is heavy DMS - rubber and vegetables. Dark sugar and unfermented wort. Flavor is vaguely roasted and syrupy. Some liquorice. Medium bodied

Bottle. It pours a clear, chestnut colored body and a small, dense, light beige head. Raisins, generic dried fruits, grains and some roasted malts on the nose. The flavor has a pleasant roasted malty backdrop, with raisins, more raisins and a coffee touch. Some bitterness chimes in. Dry, medium bodied and smooth. Roasted finish. A quite pleasant one, but nothing extraordinary. 111105

Bottle@Ulfborg tasting.Pours amber with an beige head.Aroma of caramel, malt, some metallic notes and yeast. Flavor is metallic and sweet with some malty notes and caramel.Medium body, average carbonation.

Bottle @ FOneFan. Very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is malt, light roasted malts, caramel and fruit. Flavour is light roasted malts, raisins, caramel, fruit, little sweet, little dry and a little bitter.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Medium head with good duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are burnt caramel, raisin, malt and hops.

Clear dark reddish brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and heavy raisins. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. Sweet finish. 051111
