New Maibock from Einsiedler. Interesting idea. Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass zippy, modest turbid, nice head. Spicy aroma. Starts strong spicy, fine malty-yeasty, not too dry. Light hints of caramel. Well balanced finish. Quite drinkable for a bock. Nice.

Amber, very cloudy with a small head. It smells like malt and bread. The taste is sweet, fruity, yeasty, herbal and slightly bitter. Full bodied and yeasty. Very soft carbonation. A bit alcohol in the finish. Very good to drink.

The beer in the glass is strong golden yellow, slightly cloudy, with a tiny head. It smells malty, grainy, bready and very sweet. Starts very bready, malty, spicy, very sweet, with a subtle aroma hops in the background. The middle part is malty and spicy, slightly sweet, very bready again. Goes into a alcoholic-warming finish with sweet malt notes and much bread in the background.

Aroma: malty, honey, basement. Appearance: copper color, no head. Taste: low bitterness (herbs), malty, caramel, melanoidins, warming alcohol, semi-sweet. Palate: medium body and medium carbonation, malty finish. Overall: Decent maibock, even drinkable, which is really surprising.
