(bottle, 33cl) Clear, ruby brown colour with a medium-sized and slightly tanned foamy head. Mildly toasted malty and caramel-laden aroma with notes of Bavarian Blockmalz and shades of smoked ham in the background. Sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a soft carbonation. Dark malt character with present notes of caramel and bready accents, leading into a sweet and delicately bitter finish with notes of caramel and a whiff of chocolate at the very end. Decent. 20.IX.15

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Looks very nice in the glass with a clear amber coloured body added by a deep ruby tint. A slowly diminishing bubbly, beige head blanketing the glassware. Caramel upfront on the nose, hints of bread and earth. The taste profile is also dominated by mid-sweet caramel malts supported by nuts and dried fruity endnotes. Slightly roasted. Medium bodied. An enjoying caramel ale (Tromsų 04.08.2015).
