This limited-edition winter brew will make its debut in October, but this winter celebration ale is worth the wait. Malted barley and chocolate tones define the traditional style, while the robust aroma and long, mellow finish will make this the perfect companion for your holiday adventures.

Bottle. Aroma of dried fruit, nuts, dark toffee, caramel, hints of blood and iron. Dark amber/ruby, clear, minimal beige head. Medium sweetness, lightly bitter, taste of dark malts, hints of old fashion "vørterøl", nuts, toffee, bread crust. Full body, creamy, soft carbonation. A beer made for desserts, meditation and a fireplace.

330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Looks very nice in the glass with a clear amber coloured body added by a deep ruby tint. A slowly diminishing bubbly, beige head blanketing the glassware. Caramel upfront on the nose, hints of bread and earth. The taste profile is also dominated by mid-sweet caramel malts supported by nuts and dried fruity endnotes. Slightly roasted. Medium bodied. An enjoying caramel ale (Tromsø 04.08.2015).

Bottle. A clear, dark amber colored beer topped by a dense, finger-thick beige head. Weak malty aroma with caramel and a generic dried fruit touch. Some baked apples in the far back. It’s full-bodied, soft and rather dry on the palate, with flavors of caramel and dried fruits. Decent bitterness too, handling the sweetness well. Lasting finish. A boring, clean doppelbock lacking on complexity. 150725

0,33l bottle. Tapped 8.10.14. BBD 7.12.15. Brown and dark Amber. Minimal white head. Smells malty, light, and slightly pilsnerish. A bit of prune. Heavy flavour of malt and prunes. Raisins. Deep flavour. A very good bock. My first Icelandic beer did not disappoint.
