This limited-edition winter brew will make its debut in October, but this winter celebration ale is worth the wait. Malted barley and chocolate tones define the traditional style, while the robust aroma and long, mellow finish will make this the perfect companion for your holiday adventures.

The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: pours dark amber with a white head. Aroma is dark fruit, malt. Taste is light and kind of sweet. Low hoppiness. Pretty mellow for a doppelbock. Not bad and pretty easy.

Nice clear deep amber or molten wax color with lightly brown strong foam. Aromas of malt, caramel, bot of alcohol? bit of banana and somewhat strong. Palate, medium body with sugary texture that coats your mouth and gives this feel like you licked carboard with glue (not that I have licked glue but I have licekd cardboard) and leaves alcoholic finish. Taste, tastes of alcohol, malt and quite strong, not the most pleasant taste. Overall I was not a big fan of this beer, but this was first of this stile so I might be jsut new to it so not best person to judge this yet, but in a way reminds of high volume beer in Lithuania that people dring to get wasted.

TET (2466) - Kaarina, FINLAND - DEC 31, 2015
A dark copper coloured, a head is medium and beige. Aroma has dark bread, richness of malts, some herbs. Taste is bready and malty, nice herbal bitterness, even some smoke in the end. Smooth, medium bodied, easy to drink. Tasteful beer, enjoyable and enough of personality.

bartlebier (3217) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - DEC 30, 2015
33cl no BB, MaruhnXII15. - watery maroon-auburn pour. Lagery caramels, roasted barley, rye bread e poi niente much in aroma - very doppelbockish. Drinks easier, less stomachefilling than many DE doppelbock: light, well-carb’ed barley caramels, good bitters, sourdough bread, but not much depth there. On the passable side of decent like many Einstök’s sampled so far.
