A bottle was enjoyed on 26.12.14 as a birthday present. Very pleasant beer, rather sweet and dark but with a nice kick to it. I will buy for myself in future!!

Drank from a liter stein poured from a twelve ounce bottle (I didn’t have any other glasses). Nice slightly chocolately aroma with a wonderful aroma of lightly roasted malts. Pours a nice mahogany color with slightly off white head. An amazing doppelbock!

Bottle from Tallinna Kaubamaja (€ 3.20). BB 29.11.2015. Very dark amber or near brown colour, clear. Head light tan with good retention and nice lacing. Nose is black bread and molasses... some sweet spiciness, hint of dark fruits. Taste similar, very malty, sweet, with some booze detectable. Finishes grainy, dry and metallic. Body below medium, carbonation soft but present. Not a fan.

Aroma: malty, grain, bread, caramel. Appearance: dark, clear brown, small, creamy, beige head. Taste: light sweet. Palate: very malty, sweets carry on first, then light bitters. Overall: nice Bock, decent palate, yet nothing too outstanding. Bottle from independent Spirit, Bath.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BB 04.11.14, from Drink Shop quite long time ago, 20141205) The beer poured brown and clear. Its head was medium sized, lightly brown and it lasted long. Aroma had malts and molasses. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, molasses, chocolate, grass and sweetness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. A good but a little bit watery malty brew.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle. Thanks Zach! Aroma is nice and malty with moderate toasted bread and nuts with light caramel and toffee. Slight roast and chocolate notes. Light dark fruit notes with moderate raisins. Pours a nice, clear brown color with amber and ruby hues. Fairly large, moderately thick, dark tan head with great retention. Medium lacing with faint legs. Flavor is fairly sweet with quite a bit of toasted bread, caramel and toffee. Lots of raisins with hints of dark fruit, chocolate and roast. Some light nuttiness with medium light bitterness. Hints of alcohol and finishes sweet. Mouthfeel is medium to medium light bodied with moderate carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a decent beer with a nice malt quality. Quite a bit of melanoidins with some nice, light yeast character. Not a bad doppelbock.
