Bottled 29/09/12. A ruby coloured beer with an off-white ring of head. Sweet and bready malts throughout. Fossil fuels. More bitter and fruity than most doppelbocks. Late toastiness. Pretty tasty but a bit over fruity.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Bottle, 0.33 l - BB 04.11.14, from Drink Shop quite long time ago, 20141205) The beer poured brown and clear. Its head was medium sized, lightly brown and it lasted long. Aroma had malts and molasses. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, molasses, chocolate, grass and sweetness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. A good but a little bit watery malty brew.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from a 12 oz bottle. Thanks Zach!
Aroma is nice and malty with moderate toasted bread and nuts with light caramel and toffee. Slight roast and chocolate notes. Light dark fruit notes with moderate raisins.
Pours a nice, clear brown color with amber and ruby hues. Fairly large, moderately thick, dark tan head with great retention. Medium lacing with faint legs.
Flavor is fairly sweet with quite a bit of toasted bread, caramel and toffee. Lots of raisins with hints of dark fruit, chocolate and roast. Some light nuttiness with medium light bitterness. Hints of alcohol and finishes sweet.
Mouthfeel is medium to medium light bodied with moderate carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth.
Overall, a decent beer with a nice malt quality. Quite a bit of melanoidins with some nice, light yeast character. Not a bad doppelbock.

Pours a finger of off-white head on a clear dark red colored body.
The aroma is grains and caramel. Nice.
The taste starts mild and goes super caramel sweet with a slight metallic bitter finish. An abrupt profile.
The texture is crisp.
I didn’t enjoy it. Too sweet too long.
