This limited-edition winter brew will make its debut in October, but this winter celebration ale is worth the wait. Malted barley and chocolate tones define the traditional style, while the robust aroma and long, mellow finish will make this the perfect companion for your holiday adventures.

Bottle. Dark brown with a thin puddly head. Toffee dominates the aroma. Flavour is toffee, mild coffee with a chewy malt backbone. Slightly sweet before a restrained bitter finish.

(bottle, 33cl) Clear, ruby brown colour with a medium-sized and slightly tanned foamy head. Mildly toasted malty and caramel-laden aroma with notes of Bavarian Blockmalz and shades of smoked ham in the background. Sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a soft carbonation. Dark malt character with present notes of caramel and bready accents, leading into a sweet and delicately bitter finish with notes of caramel and a whiff of chocolate at the very end. Decent. 20.IX.15

Aroma of hay, caramel, dried fruits, malt and a hint of herbs. Mahogany with a off-white head. Medium to heavy sweet and medium bitter. Full body with a average carbonation. Overall quite a nice brew, not my favorite style, but an enjoyable drink.

Big beige head. Clear brown body with strong carbonation. Syrupy toasted sugar and earth aroma with spicy cinnamon notes. Sweetish syrupy spicy toasted sugar taste with caramel and cinnamon notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish earthy sugary molasses aftertaste with candy, cocoa and spice notes. Really interesting beer. Not sure how they did it, but very interesting. Look; good fawn head, red copper clear body, carpet lacing. Bottle with beautiful rednose-reindeer-viking. Aroma; grass, apples, heaps of caramel. Taste; caramel, grass, chocolate, cocoa drops, dark malts - leading to a finish in chocolate. On palate slightly dry, normal to good body. Overall; okay and nice as expected. 330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Looks very nice in the glass with a clear amber coloured body added by a deep ruby tint. A slowly diminishing bubbly, beige head blanketing the glassware. Caramel upfront on the nose, hints of bread and earth. The taste profile is also dominated by mid-sweet caramel malts supported by nuts and dried fruity endnotes. Slightly roasted. Medium bodied. An enjoying caramel ale (Tromsų 04.08.2015).
