Clear medium amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, light to moderate yeasty, fruity, wood notes. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20111208]

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of resenaren. Pours a clear warm amber with an off-white head. Nice, solid pumpernickel aroma. Medium body, very bready, a little licorice, caramel, quite some pumpernickel. Dry German hops in the finish although not bitter as such. Solid. 030312

Bottled. Deep rubyish amber colour with a small beige head. Aroma is fruits, wood, caramel and some quite big mlty sweet notes. Flavour is fruits, caramel, sweet malts and a bit glueish, but very nice doppelbock.

Bottled at Kex Hostel, Reykjavík. Clear mahogany colour, firm head. Deep caramelly nose. Sweet with full body and sfot mouthfeel. Loads of caramel with mikld alcohol warmth and low bitterness. Really malty and highly suitable for Icelandic mid winter conditions.

Bottle. Pours an amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma. Sweetish malty caramel flavor with weak hints of dark fruit. Has a sweetish malty caramel finish.

Bottle at Pigs Ear 2011. Einstok doppelbock 6.7%. chestnut clear colour. Its an ok german version of a beer. Bit dryer on the finish. Yes decent sweet doppelbok in mouth but a spicy dry finish. fine. 3.2

ChrisOs Christmas Tasting. Clear brown beer. Good pale tan head. Tired tasting caramel malt. Tired but not exhausted! Mild minerals on the finish.
