American and Bavarian craft come together with the finest Icelandic water to create the Viking version of the Pale Ale, where robust hoppiness meets smooth malty undertones. Cascade hops give it the American character, while Northern Brewer hops add just enough bitterness to make this Ale refreshingly Icelandic.

Bottle from Myvatn natural baths, Iceland. Pours a true clear amberWith an of white head which is moderately laying and leaves some blobs of lacing. Aroma is maltiness, subtle spice, soap and perhaps some caramel. Not really any hops. Taste is quite bland which is a little disappointing. Malty sweetness with a fairly mild bitterness. Moderate carbonation and a weak to moderate body.

Bottle, golden pour, no real head, nose is lacking, taste is pretty basic, some hops, a hint of bitter, but nothing to brag about.

Appearance is quite a dark chestnut, not particularly pale! Aroma is malty sweet , bit of spice there. Taste is crisp despite a sweet malt, toffee in abundance, bit of earthy hop and spice. Definitely a nice beer, just reminds me of an ESB more than a pale.

Bottle at home from ales by mail
mid amber with stream of bubbles and thin white head. Slightly piney resin on nose, a little thin, sweet caramalt, grapefruit, touch oxidised, past its best perhaps...my fault.

Bottle from Rehills Newcastle. Strong floral flavours make this very light and fresh but there's also a nice malty backbone to the aftertaste. A hugely enjoyable pale ale

0,33L, BB 22.04.2015. Pours amber with off-white head. The head stays. Aroma is mild sweet, malt, flowers, and some sourness. Taste is sweet and sour, watery, malt, caramel, bready notes and slight citrus. Finish is caramel and toasted bitterness. Overall: ok brew.
