4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 dwyerpg (4067) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - SEP 10, 2012
A great fresh citrus hop aroma right from the bottle but with some malts giving it a decent battle. Quite fruity with an ice light hop body and finish. The beer has a weird fresh/aged flavor to it, as crazy as that sounds. Picked up at the Solvang brewery in CA.
4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Eirikur (332) - hafnarfjordur, ICELAND - DEC 7, 2011
Incredible brew.
Beautiful mouthwatering copper colour .. faint head, still holding .. hoppy aroma .. pleasant taste .. palate is wonderfully balanced, leaving a slight oily mouthfeel.
*I believe this brew will greatly imporove with age (in bottle)* Give it 3-5 years in the cellar.
Perfect Ale to have with Whisky.
I never thought I would rate an Icelandic brew this high.
Hats off for the brewmaster.

Bottle. My first from Iceland and very impressive it was. Bronze with a small head.Low carbonation with a biscuit like flavour and some citrus presence. Not overloaded with hops as most pale ale seem to be these days. Surprisingly pleasant.

Medium yellow/amber with a thick frothy, decent masting head. Smells of malt, hay, straw, toasted cereal and a nice hoppy orange citrus. Tangerine. Light to medium oily soft carbonation body. Nice sweet malt, caramel with a nice hop bitter citrus orange finish. Fruity and not overloaded. Very easy to drink.

Dobre lecz nie rewelacyjne. Wytrawne i goryczkowe w stylu amerykanskiego ale. Piana srednia lecz opada w szybkim tempie. Kolor rudawo brazowy. Niskie nagazowanie. Ale ogolnie pijalne piwo. W sam raz do ryby smazonej.

On Tap, Stoffan Reykjavik. Hazy pour, light yellow appearance. Wheaty, a whole lotta citrus and a bit grassy. A delicious beer and one which warmed the cockles in an otherwise cold Reykjavik.

Nice aroma of caramel and sweet fruits. Nice rich taste. Fruity sweet hoppiness and a bit of toasty caramel malt.

Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass dark orange, nice head. Starts wonderful grasy-hoppy, modest sweet, light dry notes in the background. Flowery-grasy finish, still a bit sweet, well balanced. I like it.
