COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
American and Bavarian craft come together with the finest Icelandic water to create the Viking version of the Pale Ale, where robust hoppiness meets smooth malty undertones. Cascade hops give it the American character, while Northern Brewer hops add just enough bitterness to make this Ale refreshingly Icelandic.

C’mon Iceland! You can do better than that!! Okay beer. Not quite hoppy enough.

Clear amber/gold colour with little to no foam. Aroma has bit of Citra smell but not very strong. Tastes light with hops dominating the beer. Nothing too outstanding but nice beer to try.

Water is a key ingredient to beer making. Iceland and the other nordic countries do have the best waters in the world to work with, this one beeing no exception. The pour reveals a wonderful dark golden colour. Aroma is mild and slightly hoppy. Taste is hoppy and light, medium to heavy bitterness, well carbonated. Palate is average, overall I think a 14 is a fair verdict. Personal comment: I did expect more from this beer. After tasting their porter, I was really looking forward to this APA.. But, after the first excitement of the tremendous colour was over, it left me a bit disappointed.

Bottle from Whole Foods Market in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is malt, some herbs. Taste is malt, caramel, honey, herbal lozenges... very mild earthy hops / bitterness / wood on the finish. Not a fan.

Excellente.

Bottle. Nice pleasant citrusy aroma, gold to copper color. Enough body, but still very drinkable. I like this one

Pours a clear darker golden color with off-white head. Floral notes, grass, and a little citrus and malt on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes pretty balanced between the hops and malt.
