COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
American and Bavarian craft come together with the finest Icelandic water to create the Viking version of the Pale Ale, where robust hoppiness meets smooth malty undertones. Cascade hops give it the American character, while Northern Brewer hops add just enough bitterness to make this Ale refreshingly Icelandic.

Pours a glowing golden color, with a froth, small white head, while the beer is completely filtered and clear. Smells of slightly sour straw, dipped into murky wood water, infused by herbal, leafy hops. All in all the nose is a bit muted, as for an Pale Ale. Drinks very creamy, with a carbonation which develops a lively, bubbly appearance during the finish, while the beer reveals a pleasantly balanced, refreshing hop presence. Tastes of a white bread malt foundation, together with a soft aqueous quality, while lemons become visible atop of this foundation, adding a fruity and herbal bitterness to the taste, while the fruits exhibit a juicy orange impact. Finishes with a blend of pleasantly dry hops, enhanced by a metallic hint from the malts, tied together by cakey, balancing malts. Nose and taste appear to be completely different, while the taste is way further evolved, featuring an easy drinking, well balanced Euro Pale Ale. Its hop aspect is not too profound by itself, while all other ingredients add to it, resulting in a beer which has a very synergetic overall taste, which almost makes up for the slightly too sweet finish.

Aroma is sweet tangerines with a caramelly touch. Taste is floral with sweet malts and a touch of hops. A faint metallic note kicks in when the beer warmed up a bit. Straight up good beer, but I think the Northern Brewer hops brings it down a few notches.

Dark golden body, stable white head with nice lacing. Aroma of green hops, yeast, a little bit of citrus. Taste is more bitter than I expected, with some dryness and spicyness later on, even a little citrus taste lingers in the mouth during the long aftertaste. Perfectly clean and well balanced. This is pretty good actually.

Aroma: a little malts, a little old coins; somewhat faint. Appearance: orange, clear, head large and pretty stable. Taste: bitter, a little sweet. Palate: body medium; carbonation fizzy; finish bitter and a bit sweet; feels foamy; spicy; alcohol not very well masked. Overall: has a bit of a Belgian feel to it; nice but not great.
