With clear notes of espresso, dark chocolate and a hint of authentic Icelandic coffee, this Porter is dark and rich, offering a medium body that is robust, yet smooth on the palate and easy to drink. There’s no need to be afraid of the dark anymore.

bottle pour..light black dark brown color with small head..toasted nuts and roasted malt presence are big on the nose with some vanilla trace in the back..and a big boom of chocolate character as well..wow that is pretty interesting nose..mouthfeel is super smooth and silky..coffee makes it into the mix here and this is good coffee all around and a mighty tasty toasted porter..damn I wish my morning coffee had this complexity..worth trying for sure for anyone who is a fan of porters/stouts..solid offering...

A deep dark porter with a thin mocha head. In aroma, loads of bitter chocolate, coffee grind, light peated notes, smoky, fruity esters, very nice. In mouth, a bitter chocolate with coffee grind, pleasant smoked wood, licorice, very nice. On tap at WOB Chelsea.

Draught > Flying Saucer. Little aroma. Sort of thin dry palate. Head dies almost immediately. Flavor is a little roasty, a little ashy and something else I can't figure out. I know the deScription says coffee but then again I don't know what Icrlandic coffee taste like. This is good. I was hoping for better though. I think it's overrated at 92.

Highly drinkable & quite tasty porter! Pours black w/ a tan head & decent lacing. The aroma has a nice delicate blend of coffee & dark chocolate. The taste is more on the soft chocolate side but finishes with just enough bitterness to remind u that it is a porter & a damn good 1 at that! It has a lovely mouthfeel & is overall an outstanding beer!

Bizarre aroma that has a metallic element, almost like blood with a bit of smoke. Otherwise tastes nice and malty with a hint of burnt toast.

Butelka z WFP3, warka z 2-06-15, wiec mloda. Faktycznie dosc fajnie kawowy, ale zeby to byla jakas islandzka kawa, to ja bym niezauwazyl ;) sporo tez owocowosci, palonosci, choc aromaty dosc stonowane. w smaku w kwaskowata strone, troche popiolowe i dosc gorzkie w ustach. Fajne.

Lav karbonering.

Bottle. Deep dark brown colored, opaque with a small tan head. Toasted malt aroma is in the nose with a light coffee note along with a dark fruits and dried plum and a hint of date. Well balanced flavor that starts off sweet and turns into a nice light bitter dry finish. Light notes of coffee in the taste, however, a sweet malty resembles of malt based coffee substitute is dominating the beginning and the middle. The end gets more dry and toasty while the peppery warmth of alcoholic gets more noticeable. The body is medium to thick with low carbonation and gives the flavour and taste room to develop. Complex beer that changes quite a bit while drinking. After the nice creamy mouthfeel and the bitter dry finish stays a long light bitter aftertaste with a strong toasty note.
