COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With clear notes of espresso, dark chocolate and a hint of authentic Icelandic coffee, this Porter is dark and rich, offering a medium body that is robust, yet smooth on the palate and easy to drink. There’s no need to be afraid of the dark anymore.

330ml bottle from Good Spirits Co. Almost black colour, not much head. Milky woody malt aroma. Roasted malt flavour. Bitter aftertaste. Not a typical porter but still a decent beer.

Bottled 20/07/13. A black beer with a disappering off-white head. An interesting and tasty porter. Roasty and chocolatey and with coffee notes. Some sourness and some good hops. A lot going on but it all balances really well. I really liked this.

Black with a big beige head. Aroma of toast, nuts, roasted malt, light chocolate and some coffee. Taste is light sweet and mild bitter. Full body, oily texture, a tiny bit watery - could be thicker, light carbonation. Very nice.

Pours a three finger light tan head that fades slowly leaving no lace. Ton of yeast left in bottle. Black color, no highlights. Good carbonation and medium-heavy bodied. Baked chocolate nose and flavor is baked/burnt chocolate. 330ml bottle, from Gift Specialists Oceanside, California.

Bardzo dobry porter. Palony ale niezbyt mocno. Glebia czerni i lekki nawet osad na dnie. Piana bezowa wielka i trwala. Aromat suszonej sliwki. Posmak palonosci z guma balonowa. wytrawny i rozgrzewajacy finisz, choc ma to piwo malo procent ale takie robi wrazenie

Deep dark black color, not translucent. Aroma is a slight roasted hazelnut. Flavor is, nutty and quite dry. A lot like a Irish stout, rather than a porter.

Decent - pretty sweet porter with evident chocolate and coffee. An unrefined whiff of alcohol and raw sugar. Cherries and cough drops.

UPDATED: AUG 15, 2013 Very nice burnet aroma, its lacking depth though. Looks good, pitch black, could use bigger and longer lasting head. Overall a pleasant drink.

Brown to the point of black, foamy light tan head, looks great, like a real old fashioned porter. Head soons dwindles to nothing though. Coffee, dark chocolate, dusty roasted malt aromas. Flavour is a dry porter twang, coffee again, more dark chocolate and a suggestion of whiskey! Big robust body, but goes down surprisingly easily. Texture is smooth and a touch oily, with a minimal carbonation. Finish is long and nicely balanced with just enough hop bitterness so it never becomes too much coffee/chocolate. Very good.
