With clear notes of espresso, dark chocolate and a hint of authentic Icelandic coffee, this Porter is dark and rich, offering a medium body that is robust, yet smooth on the palate and easy to drink. There’s no need to be afraid of the dark anymore.

Basically just a quality porter. Rich. Dark Chocolate and coffee. Um, not much else to say, just filling in characters because rate beer wants me to.

Didnt much care for this. Aroma is nice and has pretty standard porter/stout smells of coffee, chocolate and toasted grains. Jet black with tan head. Taste is where things go south. There is a distinct metallic taste which for me drowns out all the good tastes. Nice mouthfeel, low carbonation. Didnt care for this especially for 11$ a sixer.

Aroma: roasted coffee, dark chocolate malts. Appearance: black, brown at first big foamy head, quickly disappearing. Taste: light to medium sweet. Palate: smoky sweetness, coffee again, turning to light bitterness. Overall: nice Porter. Bottle from Drinker’s Paradise, London.

Bottle from Jane’s Beer Store, Mountain View. Clear very dark brown, pretty much no head or lacing. Toasty, nutty, slightly roasty aroma. Toasty nutty taste - pretty nice. Creamy mouthfeel. Tasty stuff.

Opaque brown, small tan head with filmy retention. Nose is roast, coffee, malt- Taste is more roasty malt, coffee and milk chocolate in the background. Dry finish, some smokiness, low bitterness. Lingering malt and bitterness. Medium body, soft carbonation, watery to oily mouthfeel.

Dark brown to black, huge white/beige head. A - Lovely, toasted stuff, not usual roasted malts. Coffee, toasted cookies, cereal, bitter chocolate. T - Intense, silky, loads of roasted notes. M - low-med body, med carb, dry. F - Long, faint sweet, toasted coconut, toasted flakes, light roasty bitter. 2sum - Just amazing, delicious, ideally balanced proper porter! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

BB 15 May 2015. Poured an opaque black with a red tint around the edges and with a few millimetres of light tan coloured foam for a head. Poor lacing. Aroma of sweet molasses and a trace of smoke - overall not strong. Taste of mild sweetness - taste not as good as aroma. Medium body. Smooth long slightly bitter-sweet finish. OK.

Bottle at home from utobeer. Aroma is earthy walnuts, toasted dough malt and semi sweet caramel. Clear dark brown colour with a loose light tan head that fades. Flavour comprises of toasted oats, caramel, mineral, smooth roast malt. Palate is medium full body with nice soft carbonation. Lingering coffee roast. Nice.

0,33L bottle. Pours black with light tan head. The head disappears rather quickly. Aroma is sweet malt, mild chocolate, coffee. Taste is malt, burnt, light liquor, dark chocolate. Finish is nice dark chocolate bitter. Overall: carbonation is little too much for me and it is little bit too watery, average porter.

Appearance: into a snifter, dark brown pour, short, creamy dark tan head quickly shrinking to a ring. Aroma: smells awesome: sweet and, yes, toasty, with chocolate, coffee, warm nuts, and maybe a hint of toasted coconut. Taste: sweet and roasty, with dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla, caramel and nuts, and again that seeming note of toasted coconut. Finish: smooth and bittersweet, with a bit of toasty, roasty character lingering. Notes: Darn good. And I got to put a pin in Iceland on the ol’ beer map.
