COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With clear notes of espresso, dark chocolate and a hint of authentic Icelandic coffee, this Porter is dark and rich, offering a medium body that is robust, yet smooth on the palate and easy to drink. There’s no need to be afraid of the dark anymore.

Kauge (188) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - SEP 26, 2014
33 cl bottle from Tallinna Kaubamaja (€ 3,05) in Sept 2014. Pours a dark brown, black in the glass, with a small, light tan head. Nice roastiness and malts on the nose, with a hint of... let’s say smoked plums and dark berries... and something recalling a zoo. It gets more chocolaty as it warms. Taste is roasty malts with notes of coffee and chocolate, it’s also somewhat smoky, with a faint bitterness in the finish. Body is quite light with medium carbonation, mouthfeel soft and smooth. Overall a nice, unpretentious Porter.

Flaske, 33 cl.

StoutHead (673) - DENMARK - SEP 21, 2014
Bottle. Pours a very deep red - almost black color with a quickly disappearing creme colored head. Aroma of milk and chocolate. The taste is of lightly roasted malt, chocolate and a bit of coffee and vanilla. Smooth and sweet with a medium body and carbonation. The aftertaste is a bit bitter and smokey too. Nice description of the beer but when all is said and done it’s pretty average. Good and tasty but nothing special. I would happily drink it again though.

Bottle purchased in the Keflavik airport. Really smooth with very mild coffee flavours. This is a great beer for someone that typically doesn’t like stouts or porters.
