With clear notes of espresso, dark chocolate and a hint of authentic Icelandic coffee, this Porter is dark and rich, offering a medium body that is robust, yet smooth on the palate and easy to drink. There’s no need to be afraid of the dark anymore.

Deep ruby red basically dark brown almost black. with a frothy, thick beige lasting head. Smells of deep roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and caramel. Medium oily body with soft carbonation. Nice roasted chocolate taste with some burnt elements, malt, caramel and a smoky dry coffee finish. I like it but it feels a bit burnt.

Opaque body under fast lacing and sandy, foamy head that dissolves in a couple of minutes. Aroma is mild roast, dark chocolate cake, cereal, and fudge toffee. Taste is salt and bitter and very mildly cough drop sweet. Palate is a little fizzy if not rough. Finish is bitter like espresso. Overall good beer.

Bottle at the black heart Camden. Pitch black beige rim. Heavy roast nose with a hint of sweet wet dog and old honey. Thin mouthfeel and more dull honied choc notes in flavour. Very odd but nice

Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were chocolate, coffee, burnt malts, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste had chocolate, burnt malts and bitterness. A nice full flavoures porter.

Black pour orange hue with a thin bubbly off white head ... Aroma of dark chocolate, roasted malts, coffee and caramel malts ... Taste is of roasted, coffee, chocolate and caramel malts and some dark chocolate ... Has a bit of a chalky dark chocolate to it ... Light bitterness... Very solid porter with great chocolate notes and abv hidden well

Bottle from Vínbúđin
Dark brown color, almost black; small head. The aroma is mild, roasted malt, and a touch of dark chocolate. Dry but smooth mouthfeel; roasted malt flavor, with no excess of ashes; regular bitterness.
Not enough chocolate, it’s more a Stout than a Porter.
