COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With clear notes of espresso, dark chocolate and a hint of authentic Icelandic coffee, this Porter is dark and rich, offering a medium body that is robust, yet smooth on the palate and easy to drink. There’s no need to be afraid of the dark anymore.

A thin head on a black body. The aroma is roasted/toasted malt. Singular but good. The taste has a mild sweetness from the roasted malt, then some burnt wood joins in for a balanced ale. The texture is smooth with moderate carbonation and a medium to heavy body. An enjoyable drink.

Musta olut melko pienellä ja nopeasti katoavalla vaahdolla. Tuoksu paahteisen kahvinen, maltainen, limppuinen ja hieman nahkea. Maku maltainen, limppuinen ja paahteinen. Kahvia hyvin kevyesti. Ehkä aavistus savuisuutta. Suolainen. Keskitäyteläinen, mutta jää ehkä vähän ohueksi kuitenkin rungoltaan. Pehmeä ja limppuinen kokonaisuus.

UPDATED: JUL 20, 2016 Bottle in wine glass. This is a well balanced and well made porter. The addition of coffee has been made with delicate fingers and comes slithering silently in the aftertaste.

Very dark brown colored beer with a bitter taste (plus a long aftertaste) and the aroma of fresh coffee beans. A really good beer.

W smaku podobne do prunum - śliwka, czekolada, palone. Zapach też. Super piwo.

Everything is a bit too subtle here. The aromas, taste, texture are just a little too under-whelming. Maybe I just got my expectations up too much. An icelandic "toasted" porter with a Viking on the label ! Wow. It’s nice but it won’t get you to Valhalla.

330 ml bottle via Lubiere, shared. Dark brown-black with a thin tan head. A bit of chocolate, roasted malt, toasted, a touch barfy, a bit oxidized and worn out, dry, moderate bitterness, light chocolate finish.

Bujna, wysoka, beżowa piana. W aromacie sporo nutek opiekanych, jest też trochę palonosci. W smaku karmelowe, opiekane. Piłem małą próbkę, więc dużo nie napisze, ale szału nie zrobiło.

Bottle. Pours almost black with a tan head. Sweet and malty aroma, I smell chocolate, coffee, and earth. Full bodied, medium carbonation. Quite abrupt. Nice toasted flavours, smoke, coffee and toast. Quite decent.
