With clear notes of espresso, dark chocolate and a hint of authentic Icelandic coffee, this Porter is dark and rich, offering a medium body that is robust, yet smooth on the palate and easy to drink. There’s no need to be afraid of the dark anymore.

A thin head on a black body. The aroma is roasted/toasted malt. Singular but good. The taste has a mild sweetness from the roasted malt, then some burnt wood joins in for a balanced ale. The texture is smooth with moderate carbonation and a medium to heavy body. An enjoyable drink.

Negra opaca, dos dedos de espuma manchada. Aroma tostado. Excelente sabor a chocolate con notas de frutos rojos y final a café. Cuerpo moderado y poco gas, y textura oleosa. Final más amargo con postgusto de rico chocolate.

On tap at the Big Texas Beer Fest. Dark brown to black pour with a tan head. The aroma and flavor are fairly roasty with a lot of malt character coming through. I also get some chocolate and a bit of coffee. Thick mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Sample @ 6de Gents Bierfestival 2015.

(Thx! for sharing) Sampled bottled @ Gents Bierfestival 2015. Very dark brown, tanned head on the sides; Nose is some odd plastic, roast, licorice, tad lactic, touch anise. Taste is lactic, licorice, grainy roast, burned chocolate, berries, odd,… Body is berries, thin, licorice,… Very messy & not my kind of beer.

Small cream rim left; red-brown beer. Chocolate, praline, leafy, bread with fine chocolate spread. Sweet, one more with liquorice and chocolate. Quite chewy, well-bodied, tad of alcohol. Bit too sweet for the style, IMO, not bad.
