Beer of the month club. Pours a cola black with a thin whitish head. Not much of a nose. Taste of bitter coffee. Good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle@fhoone. Black. Soft roasty. Some coffee, a bit of jerky. Some saltyness, but noy necessarily licorice. Light med bodied. Bit bready, tasty. Some tar in the finish. Sort of nice light going toasty porter. Don’t mind this at all.

Bottle from Ammersin 5, Vienna.
Dark brown, almost black body, with a medium, creamy, beige head.
Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, smoke, wood, toast, some dark fruits.
Taste is about the same, also slight fruity hop notes.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with just the right amount of carbonation and it finishes roasty, a bit smoky and with slight dark fruits.

Very good! Full, dark, roasty, with some pleasant smoke notes and still pretty easy to drink. A top notch, greatly balanced Porter how I like it!

330 ml bottle thanks to Knä (non-ratebeer), sampled on October 20, 2014. BB 27 AUG 16, bottled 27.08.14.
Clear very dark brown to black color, smallish dark brown head. Roasted, sassafras, chewing gum, toothpaste, minty, spearmint, grainy, sweet scent, pleasant. Malty, sweet, roasted, light minty, coffee, grainy, charcoal taste. Roasted, grainy, dry aftertaste. Medium to smooth mouthfeel, medium high dry bitterness. Smells a bit of alcohol as well. A bit young, could likely gain from some age to mellow out more.

Drank out of a pint poured from a twelve ounce bottle and straight out of the bottle as well. Amazing notes of coffee, malts, and unfortunately over powering aromas of toastiness. Otherwise, looks like a nice dark porter and the taste goes along with the aromas, would have rated higher if not for the overpowering flavor of roasted malts(which I usually love).I’m excited to try other offerings by Einstök!

Bottle. It’s a dark brown to black beer with a dense, finger-thick dark beige head. The aroma is toasted and faintly bonfire-ish, with burnt malts and some coffee. The flavor too is roasted and chocolatey, with some coffee grit and a touch of dark bitter chocoolate, very soft on the palate. Medium to full body. Lasting roasted finish with dark chocolate, some bonfire and dark chocolate. Too one dimensional this one, but nice anyway. 141018
