COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With clear notes of espresso, dark chocolate and a hint of authentic Icelandic coffee, this Porter is dark and rich, offering a medium body that is robust, yet smooth on the palate and easy to drink. There’s no need to be afraid of the dark anymore.

Gorgeous beer. Thick, silky head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate. taste is nice and bitter like a German Schwarzbier, not sweet like some of the porters sampled recently. Nice roasted grain flavor with elements of dark chocolate, prunes, cherries. Makes me want to go back to Iceland....

Bardzo dobry porter. Palony ale niezbyt mocno. Glebia czerni i lekki nawet osad na dnie. Piana bezowa wielka i trwala. Aromat suszonej sliwki. Posmak palonosci z guma balonowa. wytrawny i rozgrzewajacy finisz, choc ma to piwo malo procent ale takie robi wrazenie

Dark, thick, minimal head. Sweet aroma. Sweet, sour fermented fruit. Crisp finish, toasted, not dry, you'll want another sip. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Drank from the bottle, wish I had a glass to pour in to. Great smoke flavor and a nice palate.this was a top notch beer! Reminded me of stone smoked porter.

Vanilla nut aroma. Creamy almost. Tan head and black color. God damn, This tastes amazing. Tastes like it smells. Creamy vanilla and nut but very balanced. I wanna have this after dinner. This is a dessert in its self. Love it.

Dark brown to black, huge white/beige head. A - Lovely, toasted stuff, not usual roasted malts. Coffee, toasted cookies, cereal, bitter chocolate. T - Intense, silky, loads of roasted notes. M - low-med body, med carb, dry. F - Long, faint sweet, toasted coconut, toasted flakes, light roasty bitter. 2sum - Just amazing, delicious, ideally balanced proper porter! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Quite a lovely beer brewed 60 miles south of the Artic Circle in Iceland! A beer best served chilled? I thought so! Burnt chocolate aroma, light taste with a chocolate and coffee bean highlight and a drying burnt finish. Quite an enjoyable and easy going drink, a good staple beer and pretty sessionable!

330ml bottle. from the beer place at Charing Cross. Appearance - well, very dark with no head apart from a few bubbles. Aroma is extremely strong of toasted coffee beans and strong coffee in general. Also a bit of cocoa. Taste - well it certainly is full on flavour but without being overpowering. Same as the aroma - a lot of coffee and cocoa and then a bit of alcohol/hops after with the final taste being coffee. Only criticism is that it is/was extremely carbonated.

I was looking forward to trying this Toasted Porter. Appearance was a wonderfully satisfying black, though the nose was only a weak combination of roasted malts and caramel. A very different story on the palate which was silky and creamy. There was a clean sourish flavour which finished nicely with robust malts, which thanks to the good carbonation was very easy to drink.

Deep black appearance with medium head. Smoked coffee tiramisu roasted barley aromas, decent palate, rounded bitterness.
