With clear notes of espresso, dark chocolate and a hint of authentic Icelandic coffee, this Porter is dark and rich, offering a medium body that is robust, yet smooth on the palate and easy to drink. There’s no need to be afraid of the dark anymore.

Aroma is slightly malty and toasty with some coffee notes, but doesn’t have a great carry. Appearance is watery but dark with a small off white head. The taste was a bit toasty and malty, but also a little stale and bitter. Coffee taste was present but not overly robust. Palate was thin, but carbonation carries the finish.

Bottle poured a clear dark reddish brown with a lasting creamy tan head. Aromas of roasted malt and bakers cocoa. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of roasted malt, bakers cocoa and light earthiness with a smooth lingering roasty finish

Outstanding representation of a Porter. Pours the right color with the right nose and right head. The ones I had were right all around. Good roast and body. Skál i botn!

Courtesy of my brother who brought it from Island. Aroma of malt, chocolate, cofee. Dark brown color with big lasting beige head. Medium body, average carbonation. Moderate sweetness dominates in balance. In finish light bitterness of hops.

From Saveur-Biere. In Teku glass. At dinner, with chicken steaks. Very good. Good body for the style and a great balance between roastyness, bitterness and the sweetness of its finish

Flaske fra vinmonopolet. Farge ort med beige skum. Lukt kaffe, malt. Smak kaffe, malt, røstet malt, lakris. Fin porter med godt balansert bitterhet og smak, føles ikke sterk ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Smell of coffee, cocoa. Dark brown colour, dark brown head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, licorice, tar in finish. Surprisingly light body for such strong flavours. Bitter, lightly sweet. Soft and wild carbon. Slightly ashy palate.

Bottle. Pours deep dark brown. Aroma and flavor are nice chocolate and roast with some light caramel and toasted malt character and faint earthy bitterness. Medium body.

From a bottle into a 2016 New Belgium stem glass. Pours near black with medium head and lace. Aroma of dark malts, chocolate, espresso. Significant carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of burnt malts, espresso, bitter chocolate, minerals, bitter herbs, funky fruit rind. Overall rich, bold, tasty but with some rough edges.

330 ml bottle from boxbeers.dk. Pours darkest brown to almost black with a thin tan head. A bit of chocolate, roasted malt, toasted, a touch barfy, a bit oxidized and worn out, dry, moderate bitterness, light chocolate finish. NICE!!
