COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With clear notes of espresso, dark chocolate and a hint of authentic Icelandic coffee, this Porter is dark and rich, offering a medium body that is robust, yet smooth on the palate and easy to drink. There’s no need to be afraid of the dark anymore.

Aroma is slightly malty and toasty with some coffee notes, but doesn’t have a great carry. Appearance is watery but dark with a small off white head. The taste was a bit toasty and malty, but also a little stale and bitter. Coffee taste was present but not overly robust. Palate was thin, but carbonation carries the finish.

Black and subtle red color with a fine beige head. Solid lacing. Chocolate, coffee and roasted aroma. Medium + body and a fine carbonation. Smooth texture. Chocolate, toffee, coffee and roasted flavor. Lovely tasty and easy drinkable porter.

Pours a thick, dark black with an off-brown head. The aroma is of slightly sweet toasty malts and coffee. The taste is of burnt toast, coffee and hop bitterness. It has a smooth but rich mouthfeel, and it coats my tongue nicely. It’s a little too burnt/bitter for my personal taste, but it’s a great stout beer.

Opaque dark brown, good frothy tan head, good retention and lacing, malty nose, roasted, cocoa, coffee; strong roasted sweetbitter taste, chocolate, coffee, some peat; medium body, oily to creamy texture, soft carbonation, lingering dry roasted bittersweet finish; quite good Porter.

Dark, rich, bitter chocolate and coffee. I didn’t realize it was actually from Iceland while I was building my 6 pack. I won’t send it back.

Black bodied, medium head. Roasted bread, quite dry, cereal, only basic hop underpinning. Medium bitter, roasted taste, fairly smooth, medium carbonation. Perhaps a bit too medium everything... Not quite as developed or exciting as I hoped. Still, an Icelandic porter is pretty cool. (33cl bottle from Saveur Bičre)

0,33l bottle. Bought in Iceland by Eva. Bottled 25.6.15 BBD 25.6.2016. Black with medium caramel head. Deep licorice and yeast aromas with a hint of metallic coffee... I’m not getting as much coffee as I expected from the description, but there is clearly some. Milder than expected, but smooth and soft. Very easy to drink. A starters porter/stout. Very pleasant, but less interesting than I’d hoped.
