With clear notes of espresso, dark chocolate and a hint of authentic Icelandic coffee, this Porter is dark and rich, offering a medium body that is robust, yet smooth on the palate and easy to drink. There’s no need to be afraid of the dark anymore.

Bottle Dark brown color with a nice beige head that keeps a lacing til the end. Aroma is roasted malt, some hints of coffee. Flavor is bitter toasted malt, some chocolate hint. Mouthfeel is dry rosted malt. Nice porter!

Flaske, 33 cl.

Bottle. Pours a very deep red - almost black color with a quickly disappearing creme colored head. Aroma of milk and chocolate. The taste is of lightly roasted malt, chocolate and a bit of coffee and vanilla. Smooth and sweet with a medium body and carbonation. The aftertaste is a bit bitter and smokey too. Nice description of the beer but when all is said and done it’s pretty average. Good and tasty but nothing special. I would happily drink it again though.

Bottle purchased in the Keflavik airport. Really smooth with very mild coffee flavours. This is a great beer for someone that typically doesn’t like stouts or porters.

Bottle at Food Festival 2014. Low and quickly disappearing light brown head. Very dark brown body. Slightly sour roasted malt coffee aroma. Mild coffee roasted malt flavor with little hops bitterness, low carbonation and a short finish.

Something about this beer doesn’t quite work for me. The primary taste is milky coffee, with subtler tastes of vanilla and caramel. But I’m not really getting the dark chocolate bitter aftertaste, or any dark fruits. Black with a small and short lasting light brown head, medium bodied.

Bottle. This is a nice roasty toasty porter. I think it could do with a bit more body but otherwise very good.

Milky coffee with light sour milk linger. Caramel sweetness and toastyness with warm milk / coffee and weetabix towards the end. Very nice.

Bottle. Dark cola colored with a thick beige head. Aroma is dominated by espresso followed by chocolate and a hint of marshmallow. Taste follows but adds a substantial dark fruit note. Nice velvety mouthfeel but I'd like a little more body. Nice.
