I split an 11.2oz bottle with two friends. We each poured it into sampler glasses. It was bottled on 4/2/14 and was sent to me by a friend in Florida (thanks, Mike!).

Appearance: Slightly bright, banana-yellow hue. Quite clear with plenty of visible carbonation. Pours to a standard, white, foamy head which laces and retains well.

Smell: Lightly sweet lemony scent; some spices. Clean overall.

Taste: Most witbiers tend to have a strong orange flavor to them due to the use of orangepeel in the brew, though in this case it’s more of a lemon flavor. Much more of lemon pith or peel than fruit, though. A fairly sweet beer overall with a lovely spice character akin to licorice root (though probably just the coriander). Not nearly as robust or complex as some of the better examples of the style; this is a little closer to an American summer ale. Regardless, it works pretty well.

Drinkability: The mouthfeel is thin and crisp, though the beer is very refreshing while in the mouth. It finishes clean and dry. At 5.2% ABV it probably should have a little more body as it feels like a more overt session beer, though I can let it slide due to the bottle’s age. I could see this being fantastic in the summer.

UPDATED: MAR 16, 2015 33cl bottle@home. Approx 6 degrees in Trappist glas. Pours pale yellow with thin white head. Quite clear till I decide to pour the last bit, containing yeast, into the glass as well to see if that can induce more taste. Lovely aroma of yeast, citrus and coriander, but it seems to fade rather fast. Taste also with hints oc coriander and orange, but somwhat thin. Not a bad witbier, but lacks the taste, aftertaste and character of eg. Hoegaarden (though a macro product!) and Fynsk Forår - both avaliable at a fraction of the price in Denmark.

bottle @ Grassroots Natural Market / Jacksonville FL --- Clear light amber, frothy white head, a few lace dots. Taste is light wheat and malt that moves without incident through the palate to a faint taste of hops. Maybe there is light spice, but hardly noticeable. It resembles the body and bitter of a pilsner more than a witbier. Just okay.

33 cl bottle @ Gastropub Nordic.BBE 07.10.2015.
Pours hazy pale golden color with a medium white head. Distinct coriander on the nose, grass, some lemon, orange peel and yeast. Citric flavor, slightly soapy, yeasty and grassy, some wheat onthe finish. Slightly sourish palate. Gets sweeter towards the end. Refreshing and light spicy brew.
