2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
I find it quite remarkable that I sit in my lounge in New Zealand, able to drink a product from Iceland. Just remarkable. Anyway, so this is hazy pale yellow in colour with a skim of transient white head. Aromas of lemons, faintly chemical Belgian ale yeast and meringue. Pleasant enough.
Quite vigorous carbonation in the mouth followed by gentle flavours of those same lemons that isn’t sweet and isn’t sour either. There’s a definite but gentle tang at the beginning of the end. At face value this is a pleasant lunchtime snifter but not the most complex or assertive beer I have drunk.
But still, it’s Icelandic! It has novelty value for me I suppose.

330ml bottle bought at Wine Rack in Leeds last summer. A hazy, pale yellow body under a chalk white head. Wheaty nose, lightly spice. Mixed flavours of wheat-like fruits, bread, and coriander. Semi-sweet endnotes. Fresh and soft on the swallow. Accepted (shared with Skinnyviking and Finn, Tromsų 14.01.2015).

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Hey this was pretty good! I’m tired of pointing out my loss of love for witbiers, but here the light "barely there" phenols made this a welcome beer. Aroma was light, dought with spicy notes that surely were from the coriander. The spice was also found in the flavor that was dominated instead by grainy oats, and thus a nice fuller mouthfeel from those same oats. Clean finish. Typical witbier look in the glass. This is overall one of the better wits I’ve ever had.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at home from Acado split with Sarah. Pale yellow coloured pour with lasting fine white head. Aroma is pretty nice delicate belgian wit yeast with orange and lemon citrus, lavendera nd doughy grains. Flavour is composed of doughy wheat grains, floral lavender, orange citrus, little perfume. Nice delicate flavours. Palate is grainy wheat, light refreshing body, airy carbonation. Little citrus tang in the finish. Pretty good.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Very light, almost white as the name indicates. Almost without fragrance; maybe slightly bitter orange. Soft and gentle in the mouth and thus also without dominating flavors. Primarily a light sourness from the orange, but also a sweet chord. The coriander appears also nicely in the taste. The finish is somewhat metallic-bitter. No actual hop flavors. Well, a good example of Belgian wit, but it is not particularly exciting, nor bad.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A great wit. Pours out a bright yellow with a straw like colour and a thin bright white head. The nose is fresh and crisp with a light floral note as well as a bit of banana and coriander. The profile is light, refreshing and a bit hopped with nice fruit and mild spice notes. A good little brew.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A very unexpected brew, not only a very light golden colour, but a fruity aroma, a strong orange scent. Taste doesn’t seem to entirely follow through though, as even though this is reminiscent of its Belgian counterpart with a yeasty, almost elderflower taste, I was maybe expecting a bit more of the fruit taste to come through, and while it is perfectly drinkable, it left me wanting more

Lighter on the yeast and heavier on the fruit and spice. Carbonation spritzer like. Ok. Refreshing if simple.
