16 July 2004 - Slight herbaceous, sweet, Ok but nothing spectacular aroma. Some white head retention lacing, amber clear colour. Simplistic malt sweetness is slightly grassy/metallic tatse that lingers. Bitter finish unpleasant aftertaste, the rating reduces the more you drink.

Bottle purchased from the TRC Hotel in Launceston Tasmania. Clear honey-gold, moderate white head with weak retention. Faintly corn syrup, faintly green stemmy aroma. same on the palate. Pretty average overall.

Loses all head depressingly quickly and ends up slightly limp in the mouth. Aroma interesting--despite metallic notes, it has some curious elements. The metallic bitterness does not impress, although at least the finish has its moments.

Tap. Basically a run-of-the-mill pale lager with brewer’s corn thrown in. Not awful, but nothing special, to be sure.

DruncanVeasey (5150) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Prem, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - MAR 13, 2007
Cheap, sugary malt snout. Foaming dark gold pour. Really ratcheting up the bitterness units on top of a Bud Ice (?!), but in a not entirely pleasant way. At least Bud ice doesn’t attempt to taste of anything. ’Distinctive hop character’?? I don’t think so. Chemically bitter and metallic. Some strange, butterscotchy caramel flavours inappropriate to the style. Which is anonymous 40c tinned Europils. Ok, it’s growing on me a bit.

A bit lame. Thin body, minimal head, watered down taste of a very average beer.

Medium gold amber clear under a medium size short lasting pale yellow head. Stale soapy hops and alkaseltzer aroma. Medium thin but smooth body. Light hops and strange medium intensity metallic malt flavours. Reasonable malty bitter finish and aftertaste.

In Czech this probably is equivalent to supermarket own brand beer as it does not taste good at all.
