Bem normal, sem nada demais e um pouco desequilibrada, como qualquer outra eisenbahn.

Originally reviewed: 4/5/10. 12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours a darker orange with a thick off-white head on top. Retention is zilch, and there is no lace left behind either. Scents of strong honey, floral sweetness, and some husky grains.
The body is crisp and refreshing. Carbonation level moderate. Flavor-wise, this is really basic, but I wouldn’t call it a Kolsch. This is more like a blonde ale, or a cream ale. Pretty sweet right off the bat, some honey, pear, and apple juice. This was refreshing and not all that bad, but I’m not sure exactly what its claiming to be.

Smells of citrus (!), malt, wheat, yeast, grain, cereals; and small presence of hops. Nice foam, nice yellow robe. I mean, it’s alright. Taste of cereals, mild hops, caramelized malts. Dry. I absolutely have no passion talking about this beer. I feel it was some kind of standard macro-blonde with some extra character. Not bad, sessionable for sure, and a good refreshment. But Guarana is also a good refreshment.
3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Mellonius (71) - Rio de Janeiro, BRAZIL - NOV 19, 2011
Pours straw golden with a thick fluffy white head. Biscuity and slightly fruity aroma and taste. Medium hoppiness with a pleasant, refreshing finish. This is the only kolsch I have ever tried, so cannot say much, really.

Straight pour from 355ml bottle to stemmed tulip; best by date of July 7, 2011 printed on label
Appearance (3/5): Just barely hazy, warm golden color to the body. ½ finger head settling to almost nothing, just a slightly off-white ring of bubbles around the side of the glass and some scattered patches of head on the top. Hazier on the “disturbing” re-pour. Should be lighter, but still a decent-looking beer.
Smell (6/10): Very light lemon, light wheat—again, stronger wheat scent on the re-pour, but still pretty modest.
Taste (7/10): Lemony, again, over a soft wheat background. Mild hop note throughout, grassy and crisp. The yeast presence is minimal, this must have been a very neutral yeast. It’s good, but not overly kölsch-y.
Mouthfeel (4/5): Light, clean, crisp; carbonation is light, but constant, leaving cute little bubbles across the tongue. Feels smooth and watery—no thickness, no oil.
Overall (16/20): This feels like a macro lager going down, but much tastier. That is to say, this is about as drinkable as it gets, not sustaining at all. It’s like lemony wheat beer with a super-neutral yeast strain—really not spot-on for a kölsch. This was enjoyable though, and it’s good to be reminded that not all Brazilian beers are watery AALs, and some are made with nice balance. This ought to be what all Brazilian beers are like: light, refreshing, but still tasty. Great warm weather beer.

Sampled on 1/1/2011. This Kolsch pours a medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head, with decent retention and nice lacing. The aroma is fruity and sweet with a touch of honey. A medium to light bodied Kolsch. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are herbal and slightly spicy. Decent carbonation. A good Kolsch, not a lot of flavor and wish it had a touch more carbonation. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

(bottle - 12 oz) Clear gold pour with a fizzy white head. Mild malty aroma with some hints of sweet grass, mild fruits and a touch of corn. Flavor is smooth and sweet at the start with a nice malty middle. Sweetness continues on into the finish with the lightest fruity aftertaste. Refreshing and tasted good out on a deck.
