RollinHard (526), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Aug 4, 2008 This beer absolutely made my day, thanks to mcbackus. Deep orange tan pour, with a big fluffy white head that dies down to a moderate film over time. Aroma is all over the map; apples, caramel, toffee, cloves, hay, a slight slight bit of worchester (sp?) sauce, and green grapes. The focus of the aroma is different every sniff. Big sweet taste at first of caramel, brown sugar, tons of grass, cloves, cinnemon, a slight salty wood taste, and oaky like a chardonnay (or something like that). Warming finish with a slight toffee and wood flavor but it’s all surprisingly clean in the end. Highly carbonated mouthfeel but it’s huge beer at heart and you can sense the thick, nearly sticky malt in every tingling sip. Just huge in flavor. I thought this beer was just amazing, but I can see why others might not like it. Think it’s too sweet? Pair it was chocolate chip cookies, and the combo will work wonders for the beer and bring out more fruit qualities (while also cutting the cookie taste a bit). Awesome awesome stuff. dwyerpg (2032), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Aug 20, 2007 A very tasty head. The beer itself has just a hint too much dominant alcohol Effervescent and strong, the is pretty decent and has a fantastic head. BDR (1862), Roseville, Minnesota, USA Jun 9, 2007 Updated: Jun 12, 2007Rating #600! An exceptionally massive head on this light gold pour. Small amount of sediment. Sweet grape and citrus nose. Sweet malty body with a lightly smoked character to it. Light crisp mouthfeel that was exceptionally smooth. Bottle purchased from the Cellars JK (2392), Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA Jun 9, 2007 Very unique and very good. This beer would fit well in to several styles, and is very much like a barleywine. Malty aroma. Very carbonated, which I expected from the description. Flavor has champagne yeast, sugar, surprisingly brown sugar, and light alcohol flavor but a warming alcohol palate. Probably not worth the $25, but unique and very good anyway. scanovajr (291), Rio de Janeiro, Brazil Mar 24, 2007 Bottle 750 ml. This beer is made by the champnoise method, so it seems like a champgne. Tall head and highly cabonated. Aroma is fruity. Taste is fruity and malty. Very nice mouthfeel. Very well balanced sweetness, cabonation, medium body. Very nice beer.
