Maravilhosa cerveja feita em Blumenau SC. Vale a pena conhecer todas. Além da melhor festa de cerveja do Brasil, temos a melhor cerveja também!

South American Pale Ale? Is this a new style sweeping the continent below?
Pours a clear amber gold. Really interesting nose that makes me feel like it is a cross between an IPA, a hefe, and some Belgian yeast mixed in there for good measure. Flavor is meaty with woody character to it. Firm tones of sap and syrup. This one is all about the trees and earthy qualities. Feel is smooth on liquid and there is a real strong carbonation that attacks the tongue. I am going to say this is very drinkable. The sweet tone is a touch too much, but overall this is a very good craft brew, and from Brazil of all places. Oh the times they are a-changing’.

UPDATED: APR 20, 2007 Ótima cerveja, encorpada, com bom cheiro e refrescante. Tem coloração laranja escuro, cheiro adocicado e frutado. Espuma densa e sempre presente. Sabor forte, levemente adocicado, encorpada e com sabor final agradavelmente amargo. Tons de cravo e caramelo no sabor.

Pours golden w/ a medium sized froth. Head retention is quickly fading resulting in a full dusty canopy and a thin ring of lace. Aroma is very fruity w/ aged, musty fruit, some grasses, enchilada sauce, and spice. Very unique indeed. Medium nectar w/ soft and creamy residual effers. This is a very unique tasting brew w/ a rather spicy, fruity character. Kinda reminds me of a Marzen style w/ it’s big malty backbone supporting an abundant fruit profile. The finish is slightly spicy, creamy, and mildly bittered. I really enjoyed this brew. Slightly old worldish w/ a modern twist. I’d call it a P.A. but definately not American style.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this South American beer, as I was expecting a lot less. Poured to a golden orange, with good carbonation and a thick foamy head that dissipated fairly quickly. Nose was a nice mix of malty sweet and hoppy fruit. Mouthfeel was full and the malts and hops worked togetjher for slightly bittersweet sensation. Taste was well rounded and the finish smooth along.
Would make a good session beer.

UPDATED: DEC 20, 2007 On bottle:
Little head. Mild aroma.
A little more biterness would improve its flavour. Moderate mouthfeel.
Everything gets a lot better, specially the head and the mouthfeel.
Rerate: the recipe of this beer has changed a little, now it has a lot more hops in the aroma and in the taste. It got really interesting, specially on tap.

I really liked this, the consensus around the table was that its way to sweet or it had cardboard flavors, i liked it though ... . call me mint jelly, because i’m on the lamb! .. . refreshing stuff, i must say, a light sweet pale if there ever was one, nice golden shimmer to it, lacing is fine too! ... so long suckers! colgate cavity patrol!?!?!

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle poured into a shaker glass. Definitely not an American Pale Ale as described in the database. It’s a good example of Belgian Pale Ale, if you consider that it is fairly light on the alcohool (4.8 ABV), has a dark golden color, fruity and spicy notes mixed over a malty base, quite oily and smooth texture and some weird citric undertones. As opposed to many reviewers, I found it to be quite hoppy, leaving a fairly long aftertaste with excellent bitterness. Very crisp and refreshing when well chilled. Drank it while I ate a grilled chicken breast with mashed potatoes and it tasted real good. I like this beer a lot.

Para una pale ale está sobrando caramelo, pero no deja de ser una buena cerveza. Sabrosa, de amargor tardío y duradero. Buena.

Beer 7 Brazil trip. My first success in finding something resembling a craft brewed beer so far. Amber appearance. Aroma was peppery hoppy, a bit odd, almost a dried, aged hop aroma. Belgian. DeKonick! The hop notes dominate the flavor, but do not overwhelm. Not bad. Actually rather fascinating. Extra points for being interesting.
