Quack-Duck (5921) - Down South, - MAR 11, 2009
bottle from Bierzwerg. Clear deep golden yellow colour, large white head. Malty nose. Full-bodied, very malty with spicy hops. Very slightly fruity (apple?). A well-balanced and rather strong example of the style.

Kaum Vollmundigkeit, angenehme Rezenz.

(bottle) pours a hazy golden colour with lots of tiny floaties and a frothy white head. aroma of basil and pale malts, slightly smoky, with hints of marzipan and lingonberries. flavour is mostly pale malts and straw, slightly cardboardy, with a light herbal-hoppy profile. medium-bodied with average carbonation.

Kristall-König (1642) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - JUN 23, 2011
Hopfig-muffiger Geruch. Test vom 19.3.2009, Gebinde: Glasflasche

Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is quite malty along with some slight herbal and hoppy notes. Flavour is bready malts as well as some sweetish malts mixed in with some nice grassy and saltwatery hops with some slight herbal and fruity notes in it as well.

pivnizub (7236) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - MAR 29, 2009
Bottle: Deep golden, small- slowly diminishing - off-white head; grainy - slight bisquity nose with some hops undercover; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; sweet bisquity-nutty finish with a light hoppy bitterness, illusions of a diluted Heller Bock in the slightly warming aftertaste. Good Märzen..............

MoritzF (7402) - Bochum, GERMANY - MAR 18, 2009
(bottle) Clear, golden coloured effervescent hue with a big and dense, slightly off-white head. Sweet, slightly nutty and draffy cara-malty aroma with light notes of herbal hops. Moderately sweet flavour, only light to medium bodied as it is highly fermented (hochvergoren, not to be confused with top-fermented); well-carbonated and matured mouthfeel. Dry (cara-)malty, slightly nutty taste with a touch of draff and very subtle fruity notes. Dry-ish, bitter-sweet finish. Pleasant and extremely easy-going (18.III.09).

Bottle. Nice and clean, light grainy pale malt notes, with grassy hops. Clean and crisp, which was expected. Pleasant.

500ml bottle at Battersea BF 2007. Pale gold colour with lasting thin white head. this is really rather a nice lager if a tad gassy. Good clean lager. Decent. Bit of citrus.

Draught @ Battersea Beer Festival. Dry herbal leafy hops - not overly apparent on the nose. Solid flavoursome malts. Really tasty.
