Bottle: Deep ruby-amber coloured, mid-sized, qite stable fluffy beige head; dryish light to moderate aromas of dried fruits and roasted malt, traces of chocolate included; relatively dry dark-malty, roasty, malty taste, medium bodied; lingering dark malty, roast malty finish , balanced by some sweet dried fruits. Good and pleasant Doppelbock............

bottled, nice work by mowbeer picking this up. rusty reddish brown with a disinterested head; nicely balanced mix of golden syrup and sultana sweetness and grassy hops with notes of vanilla and metallic bitterness. just about as good as a doppelbock can get

(bottle) pours a clear dark copper-brown colour with a frothy beige head. aroma of roasted malts, dark fruit and raisins, with a hint of herbal hops and anis, also some light smoke. flavour is mostly heavy roasted malts, light chocolate and dark fruit, with notes of cornflakes. medium to heavy-bodied with fizzy carbonation.

Bottle @ Pivni Rozmanitost, Prague. Pours dark ruby brown with a small creamy head and lacings. Dark fruit, caramel, vague roast and a bit of alcohol. Full bodied.

Malzig-würziger Geruch. Dunkel-malziger Start. Im Mittelpart kaffeemalzig und rauchig. Das Gesamtgeschehen ist hier aber etwas dumpf und verhindert eine gute Wertung. Im Abschied malzig-fruchtig mit moderaten Bittertönen. Ein Doppelbock mit Höhen und Tiefen. Insgesamt jedoch trinkbar. Test vom 11.3.2009, Gebinde: Glasflasche

Malziger Antrunk, gut karbonisiert und mit leichter Herbe. Deutlich malziger werdend, durch die Herbe bleibt das Bier aber frisch, das Malz kann sich nur in Teilen ausbreiten. Würzig, besonders im Abgang absolut vollmundig. Immernoch erkennbar herb, cremig malzig, dunkel, abgerundet. Leicht schokoladig, etwas bitter. Gelungen! 8/11/11/13/10/11
