Bottle: Deep amber coloured, mid-sized beige head with a little lace, visible carbonation; caramelly nose with a distinctive touch of toasted malt and herbal hops in the background; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied; roasted malt in the relatively dry malty-bitter finish; some herbal hops detectable in the aftertaste. Good Dunkel.......

harrisoni (13153) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - AUG 7, 2012
Bottle from Gbbf 2012 drunk on train on way home. Clear dark brown colour. Lasting thin beige head. Malty aroma some choc but mostly malty aroma. Smells quite fresh. Yes a decent dark lager with enough malt character to keep it interesting. Yes above average and quite tasty.

Parhaps a bit warm? Aroma was bready and nutty. Taste is similar but with roasted barley coming through.
