Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of bluebetty. Pours a hazy golden with a smallish off-white head. Slightly citrusy nose. Light body, a little fruity sweetness and some tropical notes from the hops. A discreet hop bite in the finish. Decent but not grand. 190412

On tap at Paddy’s. Pours a light golden amber a small dense white head. Nice looking beer. Decent hop aromas up front. Simcoe’s in particular seem to dominate with lots of grapefruit and resiny pine. Nice sweet caramel in support. Flavours are nicely balanced with the caramel sweetness nicely offset by the resiny hop finish. Medium mouthfeel. Good beer.

330ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy amber gold, with a small white head, which lasts well and leaves good lacing. The aroma is lightly fruity, with mango being particularly noticeable, and some hints of pine in the background. Strong, IPA-like hops start it off, with lemon and pine notes dominating. The mango returns in the middle, with some grainy malt leading into the finish, which also has a resurgence of the initial hops. This is not quite as good as their Viking IPA, but it is much more interesting than most APAs, and quite an enjoyable ale.

Crikey, these guys are off to a promising start. Love the fact their first two beers are both pale ales. Even better that they’re both pretty damn good. This is a flavoursome, easy drinking APA. Doesn’t have quite as much bite as Little Creatures but it’s streets ahead of the stream of watery imposters that followed. I knocked a bottle of this off in about three minutes and swiftly regretted that I’d only bought one. Nice mix of tropical fruit flavours and at 40 ibus, a reasonable slug of bitterness in the swallow. (330 ml bottle from Leura Cellars, 5.2% abv)

Pour at the Warners at the Bay beer festival. Pours a light gold, with a small white head. Beautiful floral hop aroma. The flavours start of fairly mellow, before delivering a very tasty citrus and pine with a smooth bitterness at the finish. Definately going to pick up some of these when i find them.
