Fruity aroma, surprisingly hoppy for a black IPA, mild roasted flavours, very sessionable which dangerous for such a strong beer. Well worth a try if you like your black IPA’s on the hoppy side.

Bottle from Slowbeer (June 2014). Oily black, creamy tan head, roasted malt, ash, pine hops, toffee, stonefruit, coffee grounds, sweet malt dominated by resiney pine bitterness, full body, thick texture. Sneaks up on you, but very nice.

On tap at Tomahawk Bar 170115. Deep black colour and looked a lot bigger bodied in the glass than it felt in the mouth. Good combination of maltiness and happiness with hops winning the battle in the mouth.
