COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This world-famous beer has the character and richness to stand in for fine sherry or port. Just the right degree of sweetness - never cloying; wonderfully aromatic and warming. EKU 28 is the one whenever something good and strong is needed.

Great red/amber beer with an apricot and amaretto smell. Caramel and amaretto full taste.

Pours nice rusty, deep orange body with fizzy head. Harsh Brutal alcohol feeling, sweet oily texture. I cant enjoy this, because of the overwhelming alcohol. This beer is too strong for me.

11.2 oz bottle. Pours a short lived, off white head, over a clear amber (SRM 8) body.....nose is heavy with raisin, dried cherry, caramel/toffee, brown sugar.....taste is sweet with raisin, fig, dried cherry, finishing with light tones of Oloreso Sherry....mouth feel is thick and slightly sticky, alcohol is well hidden, carbonation is medium high. This is not an Eisboch. It is a Doppleboch and meets the characteristics quite well. As further proof both the BJCP and the Brewery list it as one. The beer is well done. BJCP 8/3/15/4/8

Pours out amber with a good head. Nicely, some kind of weird smell. Sweetnes, candysucre inside. Taste also a bit weird, but good. The sucre comes up again, some liquorise inside. Nice, some candy, sweet taste, also spiced up good. Seems some amaretto inside and prunes.

pours ruby red with large beige head that quickly dissipates completely after a minute with no lacing. ruby color looks very appealing. very crisp looking. sweet caramel/ butterscotch aroma. very sweet. you can tell its strong, but i wouldn’t think its 11% just based on the taste. reminds me a bit of a barleywine. long finish. Definitely one you have for the right occassion and only have one!

12 Oz. Pours a red burgundy color with big solid head that hangs around. Aroma of sweet malts, slight vanilla and licorice, alcohol, sweet bready hay aroma. Taste follows the nose with a nice intricate sweetness balanced beautifully by darker malt character. Finish is very warming.

11.2 oz. bottle, or something metric like that. I bought this one for a Malt Liquor tick, because it says Malt Liquor on the label. RB says otherwise. Orange with dense creamy head, although not as impressive as the marketing photo on the rate screen. Nose is caramel sweet hoppy and malty. Some high sweet citrus hiding up there too. Taste is big sweet and fuzzy. Wow. Lots of flavor there. Lots of alcohol. This’ll be tough to get down a full bottle myself.

Bottle 33cl. An amber beer with almost no head. Very sweet beer, alcohol is present but correctly balanced with the body and amber malt aroma. Quite syrupy, not bad but not a grate one, less complexity and hop presence.
