COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This world-famous beer has the character and richness to stand in for fine sherry or port. Just the right degree of sweetness - never cloying; wonderfully aromatic and warming. EKU 28 is the one whenever something good and strong is needed.

Amber pour. Off white head. Aroma smells of apple juice...and thats about all I could get. Flavor is sweet and tastes like an artificially sweetened apple juice. Yuckola.

Strong caramel malt aroma. Clear orange color with a small white head. Sweet throughout this one. Mild alcohol burn in the finish. Moderately thick palate.

BelgiskOlklub (728) - Viby J, DENMARK - MAY 1, 2010
Small light brown diminishing head with spare lacing and a clear sparkling amber body. Heavy malt aroma of caramel and nuts, fruits and oranges. Heavy alcohol and aroma of wine/brandy as well. Full body and a sticky and alcoholic texture. The flavor is heavy sweet and light bitter and acidic.

Pours a dark brown color with a medium head, very little lacing. For some reason, I am reminded of peanuts from the aroma. Taste is bitter at first with an extremely sweet after-taste. This beer tastes more like a trippel than an eisbock.

Bottle. Not a very good eisbock. It’s too sticky and boozy. It has got some sweet qualities and a nice body but it has not got enough complexity.

finol (1214) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - APR 11, 2010
Bottle. Pours clear copper with no head. The thick liquid leavs legs. Thick syrup mouthfeel and taste, sweet malt and alcohol. Better than a malt liqour but lacks in complexity.

Amber. Fast, orangehead. Aroma: Sweet, caramel, malty. Flavor: Same with fruit, syrupy, alcahol kick. Sweet finish. This beer has an attitude from the aroma, flavor and a good butt kicking if you don’t show it respect. Good job!
