Reddish amber hue. Very small white head. Malty, caramel aroma--like a doppelbock. Flavor is strong, sweet, malty and has an alcohol kick and a half. Alcohol is also in aroma, and it is up front in the flavor. I would rather have a standard doppelbock, but this isn't terrible by any means.

Bottle from Turdferguson. Heavy malt and light spices in the aroma. Copper body with a nice head. Full palate. Heavy malt, some more malt, and a little bit of heat after that. Pretty one-dimensional, but nice flavor.

Picked this up in college when first getting in to beer. Sweet and syrupy, cherry tastes. Not bad. Serving: Bottle

Light red-amber beer with a disappearing head. Rubber, tar and candy aroma. Peculiar taste with a port wine flavour.

A nice malty aroma but very little hop. Pours a deep rich golden amber and with a nice size head. Drinking reminds one of a mild dessert wine with a hint of tangerine.

Robe dorée à cuivrée très claire surmontée d’une mousse blanche automatiquement disparue. Arômes de malts munich et d’alcool. Saveurs de jus de raisin, d’alcool, de fruits rouges, de caramel. Les arômes embaument carrément la bouche. Houblon de soutien. Très intéressant...

Clear dark amber beer, aery small off-white head, dissipates immediately, non adhesive. Aroma: caramel, overripe banana, port, orange peel, alcohol. Smells like it’s been aged for 5 years already. MF: good carbon, full body. Taste: overripe banana, marzipan, amaretto, sweet caramel, some fudge, green banana peel, little bitter. Aftertaste: sugary, caramel, bit metallic, some alcohol but in general the alcohol is pretty well hidden.

Light amber with a thin white head. Aroma of sweet malt and dried fruit, maybe a hint of almond. Taste is full of alcohol and sugary fruit, rich and sweet. Potent and very, very tasty.
