2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Hoss (606) - Florida, USA - FEB 16, 2004
If alcohol is what you seek, you'll find it here. Nice pour but no head. I did not enjoy this brew as I want flavor not alcohol
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Delirium (593) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - FEB 27, 2008
Bottle. Pours ruby-orange with a foamy and quickly disappearing off-white head. Aroma is sweet malt, orange, biscuit, nuts, and a bit of alcohol. Flavor is sweet, with toffee, raisins, bread, and a bit of alcohol. Fairly vigorous carbonation. Pretty good, but not one of the better eisbocks out there, and definitely not for people who don’t like very sweet beers.

Ho sempre pensato che le birre molto squilibrate non fanno per me, e anche questa rientra in quella categoria, solo alcol...
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 maltdog (587) - Colorado, USA - DEC 5, 2003
Color the brilliant amber of glowing embers. Fast beige head. Enticing sweet aromas of raisin, chewy toffee candies, tawny port, citrus. Conflicting flavors clash with the nose. Odd mix of nutty caramel, orange, marshmellow, peppery hop, gingery spice, and a weird flash of mint. Not overly sweet. Rather clean finish, hot, bittersweet, and piney.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 DerBiermeister (586) - Birmingham, Alabama, USA - DEC 24, 2009
The aroma reminds of bourbon or whiskey or rum - liquor at any rate. The appearance is a rumlike hue. The palate is strangely reminiscent of a tawny port - sweet, slightly cloying, with a lingering sweet aftertaste. Nice, but probably too sweet and too strong to be a staple.

0,33 l. bottle in to a snifter. Very nice clear, deep amber colour with a white head that faded to a thin ring around the edges of the glass. Massive malty aroma with caramel, marzipan and alcohol. Heavy sweet taste. Full body with a thick texture. Flat carbonation, long lasting sweet, malty and alcoholic finish. Not exactly a favourite for me, however it gives warmth in a pleasant manner on a cold winter evening.

Bottle...clear amber pour with no head. Aroma of raisins and macerated pit fruit (Apricots, peaches, etc,,,) Clean alcoholic flavor with those same flavors as the nose, raisins and pit fruit. Also a little smokiness noted.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 mdi (573) - Nebraska, USA - FEB 10, 2005
33cl bottle coded 13603544. Pours w/ no head, practicaly flat. first smell to hit me is something like cabbage in alcohol...as it sits maybe it takes on something a little less disturbing, but I still don’t like the aroma...I’m really trying to like this too, but it just isn’t helping itself. Sweet, flat, alcoholic vegetables is how it strikes me. Maybe an of bottle, but not really my style anyhow, so I don’t see a need to revisit this one. The dog sure loved it, though.

Bottle. Brownish red with quickly vanishing head. Very sweet malty aroma. Taste is sticky sweet like surup. I am already a bit drunk and this is still warming and strong. Gonna get me messed up, but not a great beer.
