This was a very strange dark orange/red colour. It poured a tall head but it soon collapsed on itself. It almost seems like a thick cider. Sweet, sweet aroma with some caramel and toffee. The flavour is very sweet and sticking with some honey like flavours, caramel, and a drying alcohol like finish.

[Portland International Beer Festival – Tap]
A dark copper colored brew. Had a very sweet flavor with a light spiciness. The malt characteristics where very complex and the alcohol was very high. This is a cold winters night drinking brew.

Pour is very pretty golden amber. Some white around the brim of the glass, but not real head. Nose is very sweet with raisins, caramel, malts, and alcohol. First sip is quite nice and smooth. Tastes of even more raisins, very very sweet, big on the honey, with some really big malt notes, all while staying very sweet. Reminded me of one of the JW Lee brews I’ve had earlier, cant place which one though.

Copper colored beer pours thick with a cream colored head that quickly recedes due to the high alcohol content. Aroma is sweet malt and a whiff of alcohol. Flavor is sweet, thick malt, and a big alcohol hit. The flavor is pretty good, but it does not even try to hide the booze, and that is not entirely a bad thing. Big bold malt and caramel flavor; sweet, thick, and chewy. Interesting, enjoyable, and good, but not something I could drink more than one or two of.

Exquisit one, I was very dizzy at the end of it but I liked it very much. It is dark and very alcoholic, with good head.

Bottle. Clear medium amber pour with just a hint of red to it. Thin layer of beige head. Strong aroma of freshly cut wheat, pears, plums, toffee, and a hint of brandy. First impression in the mouth is heavy, malty, boozy sweetness. More big hits of dark fruit and alcohol followed. This became thicker and more cloying as it wamed. Not the most complex brew, but was definitely palatable and warming.
