COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This world-famous beer has the character and richness to stand in for fine sherry or port. Just the right degree of sweetness - never cloying; wonderfully aromatic and warming. EKU 28 is the one whenever something good and strong is needed.

I took one sip of this beer and I had only one comment to make about this beer to my BF and that was "yuck this tastes like medicine"!!

Horrible orange cough syrup.

Amber color. I wouldn't describe it as having an aroma...more of a stench. Tastes of nothing but alcohol, and drinks like syrup. Blech.

Rating this back-to-back with Eggenberg Urbock, I realized two things: 1. the EKU 28 tastes like a vodka shot; 2. After drinking two beers of more than 9% abv, I'm thinking of taking a long nap. But before I go, I should say something about the beer...it's amber and smells of sweetness and alcohol. The taste is cloying sweetness and massive alcohol burn. If I wanted to sip something harsh, I'd be drinking Johnny Walker Red!

Sorry, but I will be the third consecutive person to call it definitely cloying. Big alcoholic beer that gives an uncomfortable feeling of not being anything except potent. No head, no balance, no thanks.

33 cl. bottle. Served in Duvel tulip. Amber/gold color. Wow. Malt, malt, malt. And sickly, overpowering, disgustingly aggressive ALCOHOL. Yuck. This is not for me.

Bartender warned me about this beer but tried it anyway. To me this taste like a pound of sugar inside a 12oz bottle, and for the most part I like the sweeter beers. This was just way too much though.

Bottle. Pours amber brown with creamy thick, off white head. Smells like regurgitated fruit, very sour discustingly sweet. Tastes very unpleasant, overly fermented fruity, dark, sticky, hard to drink. Strong presence of alcohol. Not for me, though. I paid alot for a 6 pack, but ended up giving the rest of it away.

giallo carico nettamente alcolica dolciastra a mio parere inbevibile di per se ma abbinata al ciccolato fondente alza di gran lunga la testa

Pours gold amber with almost no foam. Nose is not powerful, metallic and a bit honey. Very sweet and alcoholic in mouth. Mainly malted. Metallic can aftertaste. Not enthusiastic, quite poor complexity. Kind of simple beer to be drunk. Not my style.
