Reddish orange pour big head clear. Aroma of candied pears, nutmeg, and alcohol. Malt bomb of flavor. Nutmeg there too. Slight dose of hops. Bubblegum yeast aftertaste. Alcohol is quite assertive. Light carb. Medium body. The very strong alcohol helps dry out the mouth.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 deaconmike (118) - Roswell, Georgia, USA - MAY 4, 2013
Poured from a 11.2 oz bottle. Clear copper with very little head after a couple of minutes and almost no lacing. The aroma is sweet malt, caramel and a hint of green apple. Taste is alcohol, molasses and toasted malt, caramel - it’s all a bit too sweet for my taste. There is some hop bitterness in the finish. Moderate body with smooth mouthfeel; there are tiny bubbles working throughout. Overall, a bit too much malty sweetness for me - I tend to gravitate more to the hoppy beers.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 TomTron (299) - Aiken, South Carolina, USA - MAR 20, 2013
Pours a clear, deep amber with a soapy white head that dissipated. Aromas of malts and alcohol. Wow, this is boozy. I knew to expect a bit of a "warming" beer but this just smacked me in the face with how the alcohol is not very well hidden. Not much of a hop character at all and the malts are there but it’s sweetness and booze can’t be looked over. I’m trying to say it isn’t cloying but it is soo sweet that if it were any sweeter, it would be. All in all, it’s a classic and one every beer enthusiast should try at least once, even though I would say this isn’t something I would indulge in all that often.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Kosmokrator (302) - ITALY - MAR 20, 2013

Corpo abbondante, effervescenza nella norma, abv massiccio e presente ma non fastidioso, finale equilibrato
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 rane (784) - Nibe, DENMARK - MAR 19, 2013
something like 31 years since the last time I tried this one. No longer the strongest beer in the world, but still a quite heavy beer. Golden amber with small off-white head. Aroma heavy sweet malty, toffee, dried ripe fruits. Taste sugar, malt and some alcohol burn in the finish. A bit cloying.
