4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 beermatrix (1497) - Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA - MAY 6, 2006
Untarnished pale lemon yellow with steady bubbles rising within. Soft, firm, white head about a finger high rests atop for a stint before slipping into the realm of a heavy skim and collar always present. Thin stringy lacing with a few thicker patches stick across the glass.
Aroma is mild yet fairly active with a paled lemon grass tint spiked with a high ended grassyness, floured breads(sourdoughy), and a breeze of herbs behind it.
Taste is firm and smooth with a nice stand of lightly bready malts dashed with partially drying flour hints and lemon spritzed. Nice herbal grassyness takes every other area inbetween and begins to surge more leafyness and a zippier/peppered Saaz hop profile as the glass empties.
Feel is smooth and soft with a firm holding carbonation and zippy little bready, lemon twisted tang. The Saaz hops are quite evident the whole way through and become more active and lengthy as it goes adding a light herbal dryness to some of the softer bread tones underneath.
One very nice Pils. I’m actually quite taken with it and will venture the opportunity to grab this from the shelf more often when in the mood for a good Pilsner.

Bottle. Slightly sour corn-barley malt aroma. Golden yellow color with moderate head. Very dry sour grainy malt flavor. Tastes more like a pale lager (export) than a German pilsener. Not representative of the style - may be too old.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 jasonp (1556) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - APR 25, 2006
Bottle. Pours an attractive clear golden with a thick, billowy white head. Grainy, lightly floral nose. Moderately sweet. Flavor has notes of grain with a little grass, hay and lemon. Ends with a touch of hop bitterness. Medium bodied with a smooth texture and moderate carbonation. Decent head retention. Average.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Gr0ve (1756) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAR 13, 2006
500 ml can. Clear golden with an average white head. Not much of anything in this beer. Subdued metallic flavour. Metallic, but mellow, hop bitterness. Aftertaste is of high carbonation level and metallic hops. Boring.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 nick76 (3461) - Tampa, Florida, USA - MAR 2, 2006
The aroma is malty with a grassy hops. The appearance is pale gold with a medium head. The flavor is exactly like the aroma. The palate is thin but ok for the style. A typical Pilsner but not my thing.
