Commercial Description:
A truly great Pils, a little maltier and more ‘Bavarian’ than the rest. The 6-packs are brand new for the American market.

Poured from the bottle into a pint glass. Pour produced a yellow-golden body topped by a medium head of white foam, which was densely packed and slowly diminished. Aroma was light grain and a bit hard to coax out. initial flavor is bitter, with a moderate sweetness following. The progression from bitter to sweet is interesting an unexpected. The palate is slightly astringent, though not wholly unpleasant. I was mistakenly given this beer by a neighbor, who thought it was one of mine left over from a party. I don’t know where it came from, but I don’t regret the mistake of free beer.

01-Jul-08 (330-ml bottle: Purchased 12-May-08 for $2.49 at Hollingshead Deli in Orange, CA) Pours a crystal-clear golden-yellow body, capped by half an inch of fluffy, white head. As the head settles to a thin layer, aromas of grassy hops, grainy malts, and a light cheesiness become more apparent, and these aromas are reiterated on the palate. The graininess is pleasant and mildly sweet, the classic Noble hops are mildly bitter, and a hint of smoke emerges in the finish. Light-medium in body with smooth carbonation, the beer is clean, refreshing and gently crisp on the palate. After consuming most of the beer, three separate rings of intricately patterned lace, each thicker that the one above it, decorate the glass. It may not be the greatest German pilsener, but it’s more than adequate to be satisfying.

Poured a clear yellow with a white head. Aroma is grassy and some skunk. Flavor is also a bit skunky with some hops and malts wandering through.

Bottle via sloth. Pours a golden yellow as pictured with a quickly dissipating white head. Lacing is at first quite delicate and slowly disolves into thin rings. Nose is a whimsy of malt. A gentle rolling of light grains and just a bit of faint hops at finish brings this glass to my lips repeatedly. Body is light +. Aftertaste is a bit chalky. A great first of the day brew.

Taste 7/8 Bottle (24573291?) Looks: Yellow to gold/ White head. Aroma: quite a lot of aroma for a pils. Lots of grain and straw, tiny caramel. Taste: Grain, spice on the tip and back of the tongue. A little hay. Nice cereal beer.

Pale yellow with a small head. Very little lacing. Rich aroma of yeast and malt with some grass notes. Full flavored for a pilsner with a clean malty taste and a distinct hop bitterness that lingers to form the finish.

(German) Pours a golden yellow color with a thin white head. This pils has a grassy / slight skunky aroma. The taste is clean with a hint of malt. Not much to say here it’s average at best.

bottle. This beer was a good example of why I’m not a big pilsener fan anymore. Very pale yellow color (VERY). Aroma of corn and skunk. Dull and not much there at all. I did notice a little malt and I’m a fan of that but not enough there to keep me interested.
