COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A truly great Pils, a little maltier and more ‘Bavarian’ than the rest. The 6-packs are brand new for the American market.

bottle into a glass FIRST DRINK-Light yet complex, the aftertaste has a sweetness to it, better than I thought it would be. HALF GLASS- sickly sweet, and starting to lose carbonation. FINISH-Nothing special here.

KyotoLefty (3480) - Kyoto, JAPAN - AUG 2, 2009
UPDATED: MAY 6, 2010 Sold in Japan as “Hojun Monogatari” in cans. Rather light golden yellow with a huge fine head. Sweet, malty aroma, quite biscuity. A touch of citrus hops. Slightly metallic flavor, with rich golden malts and decent hoppy finish. Nothing special, but nothing really wrong with it either. Malt ok, hops ok. Drinkable stuff. Decent malty sweetness balanced by bitter finish.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours clearand yellow with a small white head. Cornish and grassy dry aroma. Light bitter flavoured with a light bitterness. Dry and grassy into the far finish.

Clear gold with large foamy white head. After many of the brews I have been tasting this one seemed like water, but by the end I enjoyed the light hop flavor. Easy to drink alot but nothing special, and considering its price there are better beers in this class.

Clear gold with a huge, fluffy white head. Typical mildly sour, hoppy pils. Grassy flavor. Meh. Didn’t enjoy it.

A - very clear straw/yellow. Solid head, lingers and laces. Nice looking beer S - smells floral and clean, I was excited to taste after the smell T - lacking in taste, watery and not much there. a little hop bitterness, but just an underwhelming experience M - thin D - could certainly drink a lot due to the light quality, but nothing noteworthy

Pours a hazy golden yellow with minimal head. A hoppy, earthy aftertaste. Nothing outstanding but a pleasant surprise. A very drinkable pils.

Pours a golden color with a medium white head. Nose is grassy, grainy, earthy. Initial taste is grassy and grainy just like the aroma lightly bitter but not in a great way, they elements mix together and create a tang. Nothing outstanding and OK pilsner. Body is light, carbonation is medium. Average head retention.
