COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A truly great Pils, a little maltier and more ‘Bavarian’ than the rest. The 6-packs are brand new for the American market.

Bottle (thanx to joss !): Pale straw-golden, mid-sized, quite stable white head; shy grainy nose with very faint traces of citrousy hops; light to medium bodied, light bitter-sweet flavour; light citrousy traces in the light bitter-malty finish. Nothing unpleasant detectable, but all in all quite boring.........

Different label, different shaped bottled, different ABV (4.9%), but it appears to be the same beer. Clear gold colour with a modest, but creamy and persistent white head. Sift malt aroma, with no more than a faint suggestion of grassy hop. Smooth mouthfeel, but the malt fades away. The hops don’t make much of an impression either until a somewhat sharp bitterness comes through on the aftertaste. There’s a touch of sweetness and a very late metallic edge in the aftertaste. Clean, but sacrifices flavour for quaffability. 500ml bottle from beersofeurops.co.uk.

Koelschtrinker (7060) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 19, 2011
Herb-hopfiger Antrunk, etwas getreidig, harmonisch. Deutlich süß, das Malz ist nur untertönig erkennbar und wagt im Abgang den Sprung in den Vordergrund. Hier wird das Bier auch herber und feinbitter. Wenig hopfig. Etwas vorhersehbar, dieses Pils. Test vom 10.2.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,9,9,10,7,9 - 9,05

5L minikeg format (4.9%) (despite the side label there was no best before date to be found). Pours with a clear golden hued body with a large and frothy white head with decent retention and medium lace. Aromas are bready, grainy, toasty, with light grass and sulfur notes. Really light hop presence. Earthy and slightly woody hope notes. Grainy with a clean fermentation profile. Flavors are dry, grainy, grassy and toasty. Medium to light levels of bitterness. Dry, crisp. Light DMS. Slightly bitter balance. Bland. Hop flavors are muted/faded. Dry mouthfeel. Lively bubbles, no astringencies. A touch stale tasting in the finish. Absent hops made themselves noticed.

Bottle. Golden with a white head. Aromas are biscuit malts with slightly salty butter and citrus. Flavours are sweet grain, corn, yeast and lemon. Buttery with metaliic notes towards the finish. Dry and hoppy on the finish. Nothing special.

Partyfass at Ungstrups plase. A golden beer with a white head. The aroma is of straw and hay. The taste is the same. Medium body with a sweet straw finish.

Bottle. Actually the style more or less tells the tail. Pours a golden body with no haze and a white top. Hay, skunk y grains, hints of sulfites and earth. Bitter with a drying finish. Typical yes!
