COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A truly great Pils, a little maltier and more ‘Bavarian’ than the rest. The 6-packs are brand new for the American market.

Fairly light, pale gold, nice clean refreshing aroma. Fruity hoppy aroma, as pils should be. Lighter on body but well made. Only if there was a bit more flavour this would be one of best pilsners.

Cornfield (5277) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - FEB 8, 2005
Not a bad pilsener, but nothing exceptional. Nice golden color, but lacking in a sustained head and lively beading. The aroma is sweet and grassy. It’s a bit too heavy in the mouth and carries too sweet of a taste, lacking somewhat in the snappy hopping that one anticipates in a pils.

Drake (5232) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - DEC 30, 2008
12 ounce bottle from Wine Warehouse in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a yellowish gold color with a medium head and low head retention. Aroma is skunk, cereal, grain and corn. Taste is bitter, grassy hops and a slight corny graininess. Medium bodied with vigorous carbonation.

Ernest (5185) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - APR 5, 2005
Germany, Nov 2003. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is clear medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted bread), moderately hoppy (herbs). Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, heavily bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Fairly good pils, but perhaps a bit unbalanced.

A very classic German pilsener. Golden coloured. Clean and crisp with bitter finish.

Bottle. Slightly sour corn-barley malt aroma. Golden yellow color with moderate head. Very dry sour grainy malt flavor. Tastes more like a pale lager (export) than a German pilsener. Not representative of the style - may be too old.

Bottle: Crystal golden hue with a lasting fizzy head and good lace in my flute glassware. The aroma has notes of grassy and herbal hops, bready malts, and hints of honeycomb. The taste is primarily grassy noble hops and a background of sweetbread. Lingering mild bitterness on the finish. The feel isn’t as crisp as I would like but still refreshing. Overall, an okay bier but nothing to seek out.

Can. Pours clear golden with a frothy white head. The aroma is grassy and malty with some grainy notes. The flavour is malty and light hoppy with notes of grass and hay. Too the sweet side.
