0,5 l can kindly shared by my beer pal and co-homebrewer Lars Helge. Clear, sparkling, pale golden body with an off-white, frothy head. Sugary, floral and light honey aroma. Cardoard, light sweet aroma with a bitter finish. Light body. Gentle carbonation. Bland.

330 ml can. From Akureyri, Iceland. Thanks Jón!
Clear pale golden colour with small to average size white head. Very weak malty aroma. Flavour is also very weak. Malt if something. Watery. Flavourless, tasteless and useless.

Canned. Clear pale golden, small head. Compost heap aroma. Sweetish with light body. Fruity and blacnd, fatty and faintly salty. No bitterness. Utter crap.

Can from Reykjavik. Sweet malt, grain, soft palate. A little fruit, a little cardboard. Drinkable, but it needs hops.

Bottled (thanks brunnsbe!). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is grains, some saltwater and mild notes of earth. Flavour is grains, some sour wood and fruits as well as some mild grainyness. Interesting, but not that pleasant.

Bottle. [thanks mum, dad @ big-bro]
Pours clear pale golden with a small, creamy, white head. Medium duration. Aroma has barn, hay, sweet maize and a sulphuric note. High, prickly carbonation, very thin. Flavour is nearly non-existent and just a tad sweet. Just nothing.

Bottle. Persistent foamy and white head. Pale and clear yellow, almost transparent. Very poor beer, with few noticeable features or character. Light cereal and malt nose and not pleasant slight powdery feeling in the mouth. Little fizzy and it’s the only feeling it gives you. Whit an effort I can say it has a sweet teste. Something you can miss without regrets at all.

33 cl bottle. Very poor beer, little aroma, little bitterness, and very carbonated. Reminds my of shandy.

Before I start: this is a bottle of blonde lager with the statement "Pure mead" on the label. It’s not fresh but there’s still half a year left until the brewer says it’s done for. That’s my fault; I haven’t been excited about this stuff... At least it looks decent; golden body with lingering, bubbly foam. I’ve seen much worse. Aroma, however, is overly sweet, grainy and cardboardy. No winner here. The flavour also is overly sweet. I can’t really pinpoint it but it has an aftertaste I can’t identify and feels very wrong. Lingering sweetness. Or maybe alien mutant hops. Not that thin on the palate but it’s uninteresting anyway. ’Nuff said. I’m going to drink the rest with some instant noodles. From the smell of them they’re too good for it.

ouch, I kind of feel bad for adding this beer almost solely in the purpose of shitting over it! New beer on the icelandic market, I have no clue about the history of this beer and why it is brewed "for" el grillo by Egils. Anyway, another poor beer from Egils, foul smell, almost no head. The only thing I get from this is tingling carbonation, tiny hint of grass and bitterness, but completly foul nonetheless. Drain pourer!
